new to the site, and yes i own a chevy s-10 xtreme, but im not here to start any shlt. seems like the only famaliar name ive seen so far from www.xtremeowners.com is pete (redRT) and he seems cool over there. but my real question is whats a 99+ lightning run bone stock untouched. those times they run seem awesome considering a 4400+ weight factor. my goal is the next time i run to be able to run with a lightning which i think is attainable even though i only have 6 cylinders. im weighing in right at 3100 no driver and i think its possible to run with a lightning. whats the stock boost for the lightning 8 psi?? and max hp and torque at what rpm?? any lightnings have theirs on a dynajet?? later.

My Dad has a 99 and bone stock in the hot and humid mid west it went 14.0's! Then we didn't run it for a while and it has a couple of mods and it has went the best of 13.04 @ 107mph! His truck weights about 4700lbs with no driver.

It hasn't been on a dyno yet, but I estimate around 400hp and 500ft.lbs of torque! The reason is one of the guys from our local club mad 390hp and 510ft.lbs of torque and is about a tenth or so off of my dads normal time! I'll stop rambling now and let someone else chime in....

not bad for a stock truck to run 14.0, im gonna try to run about 13.8-14.2 on pretty stock truck, stock tires, and just a hard balls to the wall pass. but thats realy quick for a stocker

Hey Brett, just being curious, what kind of mods would it take to get your truck to that level? I used to have a pretty stout small block chevy and was wanting to stick it into an s10 but never got around to it and sold the motor.

It seems that MOST were in the 13.7s in the funny papers, and just from asking most owners. Jeff's is stronger and seems on the lower side of normal. Extreme lows were 13.4s, extreme highs were 14.2s.

Gitchi, your range sounds about right. Though I know a guy who ran his to a best of 14.4 in Bristol, but he's a rich boy, and because he can't drive his L to a faster time, he bought a WS6. LOL

Wait a minute, wait a minute..."im gonna try to run about 13.8-14.2 on pretty stock truck, stock tires, and just a hard balls to the wall pass"...I don't think so! How much power do you think your 4.3L has? I have a friend with a 4.3L S10, a '93 5-speed with 3.42s, auburn locker, edelbrock intake, k&n, edelbrock exhaust, and I spanked him in my '91 5.0L Thunderbird - and my 'Bird ran 14.8@94. What gives?? Maybe I missed something...
