Just bought a '95 Lightning!

My first car was a 1995 White Ford Lightning in 1998. Sold it to a buddy and he totaled it in the early 2000s.

I've been looking for a while and just bought this 1995 Black Lightning, totally stock. Engine runs strong, drove it 160 miles home without a problem. it's going to be a fun project. I was told it is #247

If i had done that I wouldn't be wondering right now why the truck stalls when I put it in reverse. Where's the fun in that??

Drop the transmission pan ... your transmission filter has detached.

I know this is an old post but I have the same issue of it dying stalling when I move it to reverse. Is this really the issue or should I chase something else? If the filters off how does it get fluid for forward gears?

Mine did that but it was just that fluid level was low.
