I read that you say if we can dream it you can build it. Well, here goes. Myself and at least 30 other guys on this site have dreamt of an Aluminum cowl hood for our lightnings for about 2 years now. So build it and they will buy.

How much money you got?

Seriously, a production "Aluminum" cowl hood is something I've thought about myself.

I can make them one at a time. I'd expect the cost to be over $1500.00 without paint. At that cost I would expect the demand to dry up fairly quickly.

Well let me know, how good is your work. I'm not trying to start anything or be an @ss, but for that kind of money I expect that both the top and the underside would look like a piece of art work. If you can sit down and do some serious thinking about this let me know what you expect the price to be and we may have to talk more then.
