Hi all,

Firstly, I'm not QUITE an F150 lightning owner but am currently in the market for a 2000-2005 model, because (at 35) I am finally in a financial position to be able to buy one as my second car but it will also be my part time work vehicle (gardener).

I am quite simply looking to speak to fellow enthusiasts because my plan is to have and keep for a LONG time and standardise every nut and bolt as much as possible. If it didn't have it when it rolled off the factory line then I don't really want it.

I wanted to start this thread so that any questions I may have, hopefully I'll find someone who knows the answers.

OK, let's start with a question. What's the deal with the actual truck beds? Did the all roll off the production line with bed covers or no bed covers or was it an optional extra?

Ive seen some with the bed covers on rams that raise when opened, some without, some with roller shutter type covers. So what is standard?

Many thanks to all and look forward to any replies.

Nathan
