It does improve the shift, no doubt about it, you're adding 25% more clutch surface on teh forward and direct clutches, not to mention the Raybestos Blues Plates (a full race fiber plate), in the forward, direct and intermediate plates. The real advantage is really durability, the blues will take a lot more abuse than the factory plates.
