good snell m2005 helmet

Hey guys looking for a moderatley priced Snell M2005 or better rated helmet, please give me the pros and cons to open face or full face, and brand likes and dislikes.

To run on-track events, you should have an SA helmet.

I got my helmet a Bell BR-1 in black of course, used the 10% discount from Apex. GREAT SERVICE !

I used a full face helmet attached to a HANS. The teather limited my ability to turn. I would use an open face helmet witha HANS for most events.

You want to be able see out the sides.

A Snell M rated helmet is for motorcycle use, and some driving schools may not allow them. Seems the M rated helmets do not offer the same level of fire rating (if at all) as the ones for auto racing. I always used the full face-again as a fire protection, and also if you do not have a 5 point racing harness, it'll protect your jaw.

The BR-1 i bought is SA2005, and worked great at watkins glen, I had such a blast.
