Fords new Electric Pickup likely to be named F150 Lightning

I'm definitely split. Hopefully they make it specific to lightning only. The machE would be a good example of what it will be to showcase the capabilities of the powertrain. Might have a crazy powered one but might not be available to public since battery capacity can't handle it. Might be some kind of "burst discharge" that similar to the concept boost charge awhile back.

And I can see what ford is doing by using their top 2 brands which shows the dedication they have to the market. They're trying to bring in the interest early, with all the competition.

Just watched the release..... Not impressed. Unless they come out with an ST single cab version, I’m not interested.
