beings no one makes a cold air kit for our trucks, i figured i would give everyone my "blueprints" of the cai that i built. It really came out nice and made a noticable difference! i had a hard time finding what i wanted so decided to throw out this info to all you L lovers :grin1:
1.) go to a auto shop and find 3" intake piping (pvc or mandrel pipe will do fine)
2.) get one 90 degree bend and one 45 degree bend
3.) you need one 3.5" to 3" silicone coupler to go from your throttle body to the 90 bend (non mass air)
4.) then you will need another 3" to 3" silicone coupler to connect the 90 and the 45 together
5.) dont forget to get 3" hose clamps for the couplers! you will need 4 in most cases unless the filter doesnt come with one
6.) now just pick the filter you want (make sure the filter has a 3" inlet) and connect your filter to the end of the 45 degree pipe
After being all said and done your intake should look something like this. mine turned out great :thumbup: Hope this helps
