I've got mine back when Dave Pickrel was still making supercharger kits for these trucks, and it's still running strong, with the original alternator.
 
Yep, good setup to me. I have 3 of them on our trucks. The 4th one, the CrewCab is staying with the factory mechanical fan just to see how it works !
 
I remember buying one of those back in the day for my truck. Really nice set up.
Thinking of getting another one for the truck i recently bought.
