Does it ever end $$$$
Finally and able to get back to the truck after 2.5 yrs. Some new goodies arrived today. Still need to order the rears. Went with 20x8. 255/35 and 20x10, 315/35. Still need to get the drop beams. Already have springs and shackles. Will be removing the slapper bars and 1 leaf. I have a set of long bars also. Once I get the suspension done, its onto getting the 5 speed finished and than the exhaust. Want it done for the spring. I have a few different things I am going to do to the truck. Will keep updating this as I go. It will be slow going.

Built the exhaust this weekend. Just need to finish welding everything up. Going to have it exit in front of the rear wheel.

Wanted to get away from the factory efi. Going to use the carb style holley snipper with a performer rpm intake. The motor has a small cam 1.7 rr and Mac full length headers, nothing wild. May add heads later. Need to finish up the 5sp swap also.

Have you read anything about how the Sniper performs with that intake? The Sniper sometimes doesn't like a dual plane. You may want to cut the divider out before you install it. Or maybe go with a single plane.

Yes I did. Seems the problem lies where the map port is. On some efi units it's off to one side and can only read vacuum from that side. This unit it is located it the center with channels that go to both sides. An open spacer can also help solve this issue if the port is offset and the intake divider is flush with the top of the intake. Cutting down the divider is an option, but once cut cannot put it back, so a spacer is best. Need to check the intake to see if the divider is flush.

Good deal. I put one on my wife's Camaro a few years ago and Holley didn't know what the issue was then. We got lucky and it worked on the Performer intake she has. There's no room for a spacer in there and going to a Torker intake wasn't really what we wanted to do.

Putting the divider back is really not a big deal, but I can't think of anyone that's taken it out and regretted doing it. The new versions of the RPM have it notched from the factory.
