Left the house at 6:45AM and got back at 9:00PM. A long day especially to finish dead-a$$ last in a field of 4 (3 trucks). Chelton and his Dodge SST clipped me by a tenth of a second on the last run. Doug finished second after getting nipped by the MR2 turbo on his last run. I never was in the ballpark running about 4-5 seconds behind Doug's best time. The course was very wet during the first heat and only marginally better in the second heat. The third heat was fairly dry, but unfortunately, our group was working the corners by then.
The Mineral Wells course is murder on tires as Doug will attest and we are considering limited participation in future events here because of that. The next E/R autocross is at Texas Motor Speedway in May so hopefully we can get a bunch of trucks out there for that event. Results will be posted when available.
