My 2000 has a flat panel air filter and I cant seem to get a good part number for the K&N replacement filter. My owners manual says a FA1634 filter which crosses to a K&N that is a cone shape, not even close to my panel type filter.

Anyone got a good 2000 K&N part number?

The 2 gen L's for some reason does not have the 5.4 cone filter they are all the panel filters. I have not been able to find a K&N filter yet
 
Don't try, it doesn't help. Get an intake tube and cone filter (I recommend Sal's at PSP). The stock airbox is so restrictive that is doesn't even help to remove the filter entirely. The SC will really wake up given a chance to breath properly!

K&N's part number for the 99 lightning is 33-2140. I picked up 4 rear wheel horsepower on the chassis dyno 327hp stock 331hp \w the K&N.
 
Second the PSP filter setup. There is usually a wait because he handcrafts the setup for each one and a big demand but it is worth it.
