Battery cables

Any recommendations for battery cables on a 93? I need to replace mine with a nice heavy duty set and google has me all over the map.

The cables don't usually wear - replacing the terminals is usually enough. And the factory cables are plenty large enough for everything but a winch. This page explains how to replace the terminals:

I just made my own. Went way overkill on the gauge but figured why not. I tend to shy away from the parts store terminals only because I don't like the way they look. I ended up buying a set for newer ford edge I think.

This looks good! What gauge did you go with? I was eyeing some dlo cable from the local electric shop

The main power and ground are 2 gauge, I made a new wire to the starter that's 6 gauge. Haven't done the alternator yet, was a little confused on why the stock one changes gauge about 6 inches from the solenoid so I left it for later. It wasn't really difficult, bought a scamazon lug crimper, a bunch of lugs and heat shrink. Take the old out and size everything up. I added about an inch or two to each run just in case. Not sure the heat shielding was worth much but it cleaned it up a bit.

These are the terminals, I bought 10 feet of red and 10 of black which gives you enough to practice a couple lugs and not worry about losing much.

I crimped my own from leftover 1/0AWG welding cable. Overkill; probably. Better than the factory (1986) 6AWG cable; definitely. Not shown is the 4AWG cable used for the 3G alternator swap. I am going to upgrade to 2AWG cable that I stripped from my Dad's old welding rig.
