After some consideration I've decided to sell my 1993 Ford Lightning. I've owned her for 5+ years. I'm moving and unfortunately won't have time to spare. I purchased the truck in 2010 from an older gentleman in Lubbock, TX with around 140-145k mi. She is sitting around 191k mi and hasn't been driven more than 500 miles in the past 6 months. Most of the mileage that I put on the truck was back and forth to school while in college. All of the maintenance was done in regular intervals and I never cut corners(expenses, materials, parts, etc.). I have or can get a hold of any maintenance records and receipts for previous maintenance. The truck is not perfect but it is in great condition for its age. Runs excellently, drives straight, no issues, runs very cool in the Houston heat/stop n' go traffic. I wouldn't hesitate to give this truck to my nephew for his first vehicle.
Good:
*Motor is strong and starts up the first time every time
*AC Blows Cold
*No knocks or weird mechanical sounds
*Doesn't leak any fluids
*Doesn't burn oil, smoke, etc.
*Four New BFGoodrich tires (Less than 500 miles from Discount Tire)
*Alignment (Less than 25 miles)
*Fresh Oil Change (Less than 50 miles)
*New OEM Ford Shocks x4
*Transmission was completely rebuilt less than 5000 miles
*New motor mounts
*New drum brakes on rear(Completely replaced by Firestone less than 50 miles)
*New pads on front disc brakes (Done by Firestone less than 50 miles)
*New water pump/thermostat
*New Radiator and hoses (Done by Service First less than 500 miles)
*Front wheel bearings have been replaced and greased
*New window motors on both sides with metal teeth
*New OEM Ford window seals
*New Battery
*All fresh fluids
*MSD Plug wires, cap, rotor
*K&N Cold Air Intake Kit
*Flow Master 7 Series dumped off
*Fresh carpet shampoo/Exterior waxed
*Tube Bumper
*Might have forgotten a few, i'll add them as they come to mind
Bad:
*Paint has a few small chips
*Body has a few dents, however, most are only noticeable if you are looking for them or detailing it.
*Rims need to be buffed or repainted
*Rear tail light has a small nick that looks like a bb has hit it, but, does not leak or fog up.
*Front window has a small rock chip that is covered by the rear view mirror and has not expanded.
*Center console latch is slightly worn
*Electronic window switches need to have the cables switched(Up is down and down is up) *Easy fix
*Front tank fuel gauge stops working occasionally
