For the 5th stop of the season, the NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals and the NMCA Edelbrock Muscle Car Nationals will converge on Chicagoland for the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing. What a better place to hold such an event as Route 66 Raceway? Known as the first true "Stadium of Drag Racing," Route 66 Raceway a multimillion-dollar complex including a 30,000 seat stadium-style drag strip with 27 luxury suites and will be home to this monumental street legal drag racing event. Fans from all over the country will travel to Joliet to see the top names of the NMRA battle it out with those of the NMCA for the Super Bowl titles. So whether you are a rabid Ford fan or a muscle car fanatic, this race will keep you on your toes all weekend. On top of the dual drag racing events, we will have two separate car shows, a tire smokin' burnout contest, a monster swap meet and the most comprehensive vendor midway of the season. Calling all street legal drag racing fans, "Get your Kicks on Route 66"!


See NMRA and NMCA Action at One Exciting Event!

Fans from all over the country will travel to Joliet, Illinois, to see the All the Cars and All the Stars of the NMRA and NMCA battle it out to see who will win the Super Bowl titles. So whether you're a rabid Ford fan or a muscle car fanatic, this race will keep you on the edge of your seat all weekend long. At the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing you get two events for the price of one. All of the NMRA's wild all-Ford classes will compete at this event. You will also see Chevy vs. Ford vs. Mopar when the NMCA's wheels-up classes race for glory. At the end of the day on Sunday witness the NMRA winners take on the NMCA winners for the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing Titles.



Race Your Street Car in an Entry Level Class

Have you ever wanted to drag race? Imagine racing your street car on the best drag strip in the USA! NMRA and NMCA have a whole bunch of entry level classes designed just for you. True Street is for 15 second cars down with over 9 awards given away on Sunday. Open Comp, Modular Muscle, Super Stang are all great classes for a new racer. Giant Car Show Saturday & Sunday!

NMCA and NMRA will host an awesome national event caliber car show both days, Saturday and Sunday. Bring out your American made muscle car, hot rod, truck or specialty vehicle for a chance to win over 50 awards each day. The best of show GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles will win beautiful acrylic awards and the overall best of show will win a 6' trophy! Bowties, Blue Ovals and Mopars...this car show will showcase them all. This is the BIG one for car shows in the Chicagoland area with the NMCA and NMRA attracting some of the most beautiful, collectible, stock and modified muscle cars and hot rods in the U.S.



Huge Manufacturers' Midway & Swap Meet

Looking to buy some parts for your Mustang or Ford? How about for a Chevy or Mopar? Do you want to speak face-to-face with performance experts? The NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing always has an awesome manufacturers' midway with all sorts of good deals on the performance parts you need for your muscle car or hot rod. There is also a used parts swap meet for folks who are looking for that special hard to find car part!

The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals, the #1 all-Ford series the U.S., is pleased to announce that it will once again host a special truck event, called the NMRA Ford Truck Fest, at its Chicago, Illinois, show at Route 66 Raceway, July 15-18, 2010. This NMRA/NMCA event, sponsored by Nitto Tire, will feature all the cars and all the stars of the NMRA and NMCA series as well as the coolest Ford race trucks and show trucks in the country. NMRA Ford Truck Fest competitors join the NMRA and NMCA’s already large base of muscle car racers and enthusiasts. Other exciting features of this event include two huge car shows, a giant manufacturers’ midway/swap meet and a 300+ mph jet dragster! The NMRA extends a special welcome to all Lightning and Harley truck competitors who attended the event in 2009.
The NMRA Ford Truck Fest is a special “event within an event” that features race & show classes specifically designed for Ford Lightnings, Harleys, F150s, Rangers and more. Come see Johnny Lightning is his 8-second turbocharged Ford Lightning and Bob Cochran is his vintage Ford muscle truck racing at historic Route 66 Raceway. Whether you want to race or show, the NMRA Ford Truck Fest has a place for you!

Race Classes at the NMRA Ford Truck Fest:
If you want to race your Ford truck at an NMRA national event then the NMRA Ford Truck Fest is ready for you. Whether you’re a pro like Johnny Lightning or new to the strip, NMRA’s staff will show you what to do and ensure you have a great time. The following two classes are open to Ford trucks at this event:

- Detroit Locker Truck & Lightning Class: An index-style NMRA truck class that is part of the series’ yearly points chase and offers valuable racer contingencies.

- Tremec True Street Class Presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords: True Street, one of the most popular classes with NMRA/NMCA is open to all domestic performance vehicles that are licensed, insured, and capable of doing a 30-mile cruise. 3 back-to-back passes down the strip determine the overall class winner as well as winners with averages closest to 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 seconds.

The NMRA Ford Truck Fest features exciting show classes for enthusiasts who want to show off their awesome Lightnings, Harleys, F150’s, Rangers and more. There will be special awards given away both days (Saturday and Sunday).

Bracket Information

Brackets I & II will be all-run categories exclusively available to Route 66/Rockett Brand Race Fuels points members only. Both Brackets I & II will utilize the standard Route 66 ET Bracket rules concerning electronics and other issues with NO ET breaks for either category. Thursday is tech & registration only. Time trials will be will be offered Friday and Saturday with Final Eliminations Sunday morning.
