1998 ford explorer 8:8 4:10 ratio axle.

My wifes rearend finally sh!t the bed. Axle bearings were going out. Now the car won't move at all.

So my question here is this.......are any of the Gen 1 guys using explorer rearends for their disc brake capability? How much is a rearend of the broke nature worth? Anybody interested in buying it from me?

The rearend is an 8:8 4.10 ratio but is out of commission. It is coming out of a 1998 ford explorer.

Guys in the Jeep clubs around here are paying between $100 to $150 at the yards to pick those rearends up and drop them under thier jeeps

Yep,c-clip eliminators are pretty damn easy to install!!!I've seen some really FAST cars running them,well I think low 5's in the 1/8 mile is pretty fast anyway!
