I weighed my truck today. It was 4420 without me in it. Fuel was at 1/2 in the front tank and almost empty in the back. Truck has no smog pump or EGR. Emissions stuff has all been deleted. I have JBA longtube headers with dual exhaust with 2 mufflers dumping before rear axle. No spare tire. Full weight otherwise. Still has both tanks, tube bumper, AC system etc. It has a Vortech V3, No intercooler. I figure I’m in the 380hp range at the wheels at this weight.

Mine was 4420 as well with me in it when I had edelbrock heads and Bassani exhaust, no spare tire, 1/4 tank of gas in both tanks. Had 5.0 cam with 1.72’s. Best I got out of it was 13.9 but was a fluke. Mostly 14.1 & 14.2.

Hasn’t been to the track yet on the new set up and while tuning had a bad bearing in the XB1-A that hurt the input shaft too. Now waiting on a new shaft to be made from Superchargerrebuilds.com before I can get it back together and finished tuning and then to the track we go!

How much boost are you making and what pulley set up?

I think mine was 4480 with me in it. I don't remember the amount of fuel. Aluminum heads, no spare, roll pan at the time, balanced out with the added weight of the turbo setup.

I need to start fiddling with the mid-mount turbo setup for the white truck again. I'd love to get mid 13s out of it.

I gottya! Room to grow.

My truck leans out on long pulls if I run a 3.0 pulley. I don’t trust making more than 10 pounds of boost on FMU set up with 19 pound injectors. That’s cutting it too close to the edge of destruction in my book.

I just changed my blower pulley to a 3.33 and put my tube bumper on. I like keeping the 3.33 on there, I can hammer on it more and not worry about it. I keep 93 and 110 mixed in it so I don’t worry about detonation. My truck is just a weekend truck. I keep timing conservative at 10* stock timing and pull 1* per pound of boost.

What pump do you have? In-line 255?

Annual inspections here are all kinds of finnicky. I already have to be sneaky with the red truck. I'm putting this setup together so I can remove the muffler and bolt it in. When it's annual inspection time, back to the muffler for a couple of days. Less stuff in the way, less heat under the hood, easy to fab, etc.

Plus, the white truck isn't really pretty enough to raise the hood on.
