1993 Lightning Gauge Cluster

Selling a 1993 Lightning instrument cluster with 91,222.6 miles that I bought for my 94 years ago before realizing it wasn't compatible. That said, this will only work in a 93 Lightning or 92-93 F150/Bronco. Picture of mileage was taken before I cleaned the lens up. I've tested/replaced all the light bulbs, everything functions as new with almost no fading on the orange needles.

The cable for the shift indicator was cracked and replaced with one from a 1994 E150 - it has a right angle in the bend but is the same overall length as the original and should fit without a problem.

Hey Jeff - the difference is in the charging system. The 94/95 trucks have a battery light in the cluster that completes the circuit for "turning on" the regulator in the alternator. The 93 trucks used an older style alternator that didn't use the light as part of the regulator circuit. I learned this the hard way when I put this cluster in my truck back in the early 2000's and wondered why the battery was going dead driving down the highway!

Are you still in the Raleigh area? My truck isn't up for long trips right now but I'd love to meet up sometime and meet the guy behind the NLOC back when I joined in 1999! I'm just north of Winston Salem.

Mike

I realized that the airbag light is part of the SRS as well, so that's another problem.

Those little differences.

Raleigh is home now. I seriously doubt I'll ever move again - at least far. I can see myself getting a more rural piece of property eventually so that I can have a real garage again.

We should have a fall cookout, I could host. I can poke John Webb (@John Webb), who's over in Charlotte. @BONESTOCK is over on the east side of Raleigh, too. Would be nice to have a small gathering.

The airbag light is down by the turn signal and I think there's a trace there going to the harness, so that actually did work.

Sounds like a plan, would love to meet some relatively local Lightning guys!

I'll bring the meat!!

Not to hi-jack your sale add, but is this one of you guys? I’m here visiting my daughter in Jacksonville and I walk out of Texas Roadhouse and this is parked next to my rental car.
