| Guest | Hey all, I haven't taken any real long hauls in the L. Any tips on what to do or bring in case of some troubles? Also, I was wondering if its a good idea to take off the blower belt for the trip? I'm thinking at the very least it'll save some miles on the blower. ------------------ Laurence Weiler NLOC #339 13.40 @ 102.88MPH 13.35 @ 97.77MPH |

| Guest | I would occasionally remove the blower belt for long trips for just the reason you stated - just to keep it from spinning away meaninglessly while I cruised at 75 mph for hours on end. The only thing I'd do on mine when I was taking a long trip was throw the spare and jack in the back. A couple of hand tools - phillips and flat screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, a Leatherman, and a 9/16" and 1/2" box end will cover most anything you could do on the roadside. ------------------ Later!
