5 Gears...

...yeah, it's a stick.

Got the drivers seat repaired, the seat back lever was broken off. The bolster inflater switch was broken so I robbed one from the yellow cab and got that operational too. Changed out the amber bulbs in the park/turn/corner lights for the chrome ones to rid the front of the "egg yolk" look as Jeff calls it. Ordered up a clutch slave cylinder rebuild kit to correct the leaky slave cylinder so I'll get that attended to shortly.

Picked up a slider rear window assembly for the truck as I'm so used to a rear slider the solid glass just seems wrong to me ! Now ain't that sumthin !!

Scored a set of 03-'04 wheels too that will eventually find themselves on the truck

Big thanks to Corey for the seat back latch mechanism ! It worked !! Came from an Explorer and needed one small mod to bolt up to the seat. Oh yeah, thanks too for the wheels ! You had two sets so you could afford to give up your third set !!!

Went down the Oregon coast to snag the rear window slider assembly and grabbed about everything else left of that truck. It was a nice drive and a sunny day so the Gen 2 got exercised. On the way back I stopped by Corey's to have a look see at his "farm" and about eleventy sumthin' quads and dirt bikes !

Even got Strecht's little problem corrected. The audio head quit werkin' and the subwoofer under the center seat was makin' abnormal noises.

Oh, and Dr. I gots a JLP intercooler reservoir, the street version as ordered, and suppose I oughta hang that thing in the engine bay....

Yeah I did some orderin this weekend too. I got a nice rear mount battery bracket so I had to finish the deal and bought the Painless alternator shut off relay, a Flaming River master cut off switch, red and black battery cable with matching shrink tube and brass lugs, two junction blocks and probably some other stuff I can't remember....I won't be using the JLP water tank, I will switch to the Canton and then take a pile of parts up to Scrib for modifying....this is gonna be one spensive battery in the trunk kit.

Also...I changed front springs....got the truck back on the ground, now it sits too high, put it back in the air and pulled the springs back out and am taking them to Scrib for some more chopping tonight. Now they will probably be back to too short again

Sounds like you've been having some fun....

I've been looking at that same reservoir from JLP, let me know how you like it. I'd also have to paint it black...no bling for the Gen 2.

Get it coated at Performance Coatings. That is where mine is going after I fit it to the truck.

It looks good to me. W/W washer reservoir is small but totally adequate as that stuff isn't used often. Just wanted to have it around in case.

It infringes a bit on the total reservoir capacity but still the reservoir will hold a LOT more than the OEM one. Hoping to be just the thing to lower the IAT 2 temps further from what they are on the drag strip. For me it will be nice to get the OEM reservoir out of the way. It gets in the way big time when trying to get to the tensioner plus the mount provided by Flex-i-Lite is okay but never has thrilled me.

VC is off the '95 and nothing out of the ordinary. #2 is tight and both pushrods are where they belong. The Kid got volunteered to come up Thursday night to help me do a job for Jean so we'll investigate further by spinning the motor over to watch the valve action, well at least the rocker arm/valve spring action. Swapped the injector with #1 so when it gets lit off we'll have sumthin' to compare.

As for the seatback release/adjuster the lower torx bolt hole is slightly smaller in the piece than the Lightning one. It has a steel bushing or perhaps it's a standoff/spacer and is pressed in to the bracketry. I opened it up to the necessary size for the torx bolt. That's the only change. That torx bolt is a shoulder bolt BTW.

Another interesting thing and I don't know if it's the release/adjuster or what exactly but the plastic handle that releases/adjusts the seatback sits up away from the plastic trim panel on the side of the seat. It doesn't touch the plastic that you mentioned leaves a mark over time.

It's still on the lift. Have the clutch slave out and finally got the o rings that were left out of the rebuild kit from Howe ! Haven't had time to rebuild it since they arrived. Sprint car race this past weekend plus my lower back decided to make me miserable over the weekend.

Will fiddle with it hopefully this week. Had the battery out to change out the amber bulbs in the turn/parks and decided to treat the corrosion on the battery tray. Lookin' for a battery mat to put in under the battery and they seem to be hard to find locally. I used to have a bunch of them sitting around and used/sold them over the years.

It'll get done soon one way or the other. It's almost time to tuck them away for the winter as well !
