| Student of Horsepower Paid Member | I won't tell you that you bottom end is safe but I'm pretty sure that with that pulley ratio you will be in the 15 lb boost range. I'm going to go ahead and make my DUH statement for the day.....15lbs of Eaton boost and 15lbs of Whipple boost are to different things. The Whipple will make quite a bit more power at the same boost level. The point here is that the tune will be what decides if your engine stays together or not. The Hondabond or Yamabond or which ever Japanese bond you decide to go with is a very high quality sealant. A lot of guys like it better than good old silicone. It has a more plastic consistency to it than silicone type rubber but it will still release about as well as silicone when you try to remove it. Somebody told me that the 2.3 comes with a gasket in this area (between blower and midplate)....I know that the 3.4 does not, so you have to use a good sealant. Looking over your parts list I think you will have a good running setup.....just fill your wallet back up and go get those heads, cams and connecting rods to finish it up and you will have a monster on your hands. A lot of people run this blower on stock bottom ends and get along just fine....but somtimes things happen....just keep that in the back of your mind. ![]() Last edited by Bad as L; 07-20-2009 at 03:58 PM.. |
