The BIG box arrived......

.....or 2.3 Whip power, Teil drei. See, they had this deal an' I decided I wanted in on it. I was tryin' to sneak it into the shop but the nondescript SEMI out front kinda gave it away to the wife.

I sez to her, "Oh, he must be lost, I'll go see if I can help him out." I think the hand truck kinda made her suspicious though. As I was carefully sneakin' down the driveway an' across the concrete between the house and garage she stepped out on the back porch and..............

I WAS CAUGHT !!!!

OK , have a look at it, it's just a big box....

Acutally, it's for the '89 it's ah......a turbonator, yeah that's it, a turbonator sorta thing....

OK, it's for the Gen 2 and it's a Whipple, but just the old little one.........

Me neither ! There's the blower, the CAI, a couple of smaller boxes and a TON of that spray on foam packing. That stuff is a PITA. It's also around 90 lbs all total so it's a truck freight delivery sorta thing, at least it was for my delivery.

BUSTED!

I'd like in on the JDM special but it would just complicate my life. Next thing, I would be in an all out fanatic horse power rage again and would have to seek professional counceling. Sometimes I wonder if getting hooked on drugs would be cheaper than fussing on these trucks and bikes
Scott is outta control, but it is nice to see him put some lovin on his Gen2 !

Scott, I got my "big box" last week as well. Did not have to try to sneak it in as I am getting divorced. It is a lot heavier than I thought it would be.
Mine is going on in the Fall after accomplishing some unfinished business with my Magnum Powers. It will be fun playing with a new combination and I hope to get a 9 second pass "boost only" and challenge JL's Orange Crush for street Lightning supremacy with the Whipple 2.3/NX spray combination.

Jim

Nice...three new superchargers in about a month....way to go guys

Now, if we could get everybody on the same page with camshafts and what not.....then Steve could just have one 12.50 tune to cover all of you

Speakin of which, I got a nice visit from Sparky today. We added some idle speed to his tune, it only took 75rpm and his truck sounds, so bad@ss. I will be doing the same with heads and those exact cams with my BadasHell ported Eaton, course with the stock exhaust, soon. That trucks pull is insane, and havent even dropped the hammer all the way but there is some toyo rubber now residing on Peacock Hill Road at about 112th

Oops.....I forgot about the foam......

Here's the contents.

An air filter in a box, the cannister for the air filter, a box full of "stuff", the huffer, and........paperwork ! 35 pages of instruction manual, a supplement, the yellow sheet tells how to get yer "official Ford authorized tune" (maybe good for better than 12.50) a CARB E O number sticker and an Ford oval overlay....oh yeah and the requisite Whipple Superchargers decal (they sent two of'em). I oughta stick them right under the Lightning badges on the front fenders, whatayathink ?

So is that thing ready to "drop the hammer" completely or is more tuning needed still ?
