Little green men....

.....nah, nobody believes in them anymore do they ? 'Sides it was a little brown man, or a man in a brown uniform drivin' a brown truck, or maybe it was a woman. I don't know, I don't get up till noon. So a package got dropped off an' here's a pic to make you wonder. Next project. The REAL BIG box is still en route though.....

I still have mine in packed up in its box. I just can not motivate myself to install it. Let us know how the install goes.

Wasn't particularly hard, the fun part was routing the A/C hoses. Biggest time user was plotting different routing for the A/C hoses until I was happy with them. Once installed it's difficult to see anything of the Killer Chiller. If ya know where to look you can spot the A/C line that is changed and if ya crawl underneath and look the routing of the HE out line, it's modified a bit. It's one of those invisible mods.

As I'm sure you know by now there is no need to straighten fins in the HE....just wrap it up with duk tape and cardboard....maybe a plastic trash bag or somethin....anything to keep cooling air from goin thru it.

Pay close attention Jon.....you need one of these

I installed the dual spal heat exchanger fans that have been on my bench for 4 years last week, they turn on with the intercooler pump.. I re-plumbed the water lines from the pump too. I took all the lines off to make sure there was no restriction and didn't find any..so we'll see how it goes. Just got home from Idaho a few hours ago so I haven't had much drive time in the truck

I'll start lookin' fer the right color cardboard, I already gots some dark blue duk tape !

It's in and the intercooler doesn't leak so that part I got right ! The IAT 2 isn't very low though.......OH, wait a minute, there's no R134a in the A/C yet ! Maybe that's why.....

Killer Chiller installed and the A/C serviced (thanks kid !). On the drive home this afternoon (7/7) the temp outside was 68 in Woodinville and moved around a few degrees to Monroe (low of 65). Didn't have the opportunity to "heat soak" the intercooler fluid (too much traffic around 4:30 PM). Did have 69 on IAT 1 and up to 102 on IAT 2 on the highway. Turn on the air and watch the IAT 2 drop to 86 in about 3 minutes. At one point the IAT 1 got up to 71 while the IAT 2 got down to 86. Really odd seeing those two temps so close together.

In traffic in Monroe IAT 2 rose to 112 with A/C off and when turned on it started pulling it down quickly. Two minutes it's down to 98 another minute down to 88 then on to 86 again.

Know it's not a real good test of the system but first impressions are sure GOOD ! A/C in cab was cold enough to make me turn off the vents, had me shiverin' !
