Well, I'm happy to report that was the problem! I swithed the IAC around and fired her up...she purred like a kitty .

Me too, the way the solenoid is made, it is designed to work with vacuum to shuttle the valve to one side when there is 12V on it, otherwise it is open all the time with or without voltage. I found that out when inspecting the valve the other day and got us thinking along the IAC line. I could idle the truck down by squeezing the hose from the inlet tube to the IAC.

I did notice the other day, the truck makes 10lbs of boost with that 6lb pulley with just a portion of the throttle blade. Jeff, be careful, I will want to pull some timing out of it until we see what the animal is going to do on the wideband.

Jeff still has stock exhaust manifolds....but his cams are installed on a real custom...super confidential....will have to kill you if I told you...intake centerline.
