We are out, need to spend time working on the trucks, (94red) drop kit still needs finishing up. (95blk) need to see what went bang in rear end last week, (94wht) still has vibration above 70mph that I need to find before it goes down the 1/4 again.

You guys have fun down there . take pics please.

Jeff and I will be leaving at 0dark30.
He will be showing the black beauty and I'll be shaking out his Gen 2 on the drag strip

All Ford at Woodburn rocks.
It will definately be on my calander for next year. Jeff, Dawn, Lindsey, Harley and I had a great time. The weather was great, didnt realize the sun burn until I started the trip home. Had a good Baro but Jeff and I didnt race per say(later on that), we did the shownshine this time. The plan though was to take both of Jeff's trucks, do the shownshine for the Gen1 and and shake out a few tunes on the Gen 2. The plan didnt come together because, well lets just say guys are terrible communicators. I was suppose to be at his house at 0400hrs and didnt get the message until 0530. Plus I was at a wedding on Sat. night when he called my phone started vibrating just as the groom said "I do", I didnt think it would of went over well if I would of picked the phone up and said Hello and started talking about lightnings. Anyway we met up at Woodburn and we both showed our Lightnings, watched Derick, Rick shake out their Harleys, and saw Debbie and Mike racing too. Damon was there too but didnt race his lightning but he found a great place to park his lightning. "Will the person that owns a black lightning with Tenn. plates please move their truck". Derick got into the third round which was some great first time luck. Rick's truck was a monster knocking down some crazy fast ETs. Looks like Alex has got to find some more hp to be competitive with the mighty kenne bell harley truck.
The shownshine was crazy, Seen so many high dollar early year finely restored fords, shoulda brought the camera, but maybe Dawn will post some pics.

The cap of the day was Jeff beating me for best Lightning in the shownshine. His Gen1 was immaculately prepared, I didn't stand a chance against him, plus he wouldnt lend me any of his detail sh!t either. I found an old t-shirt behind the seat and got a bottle of mequires speed shine in the entry diddy bag and that was the extent of my cleanup job. I got my own back when I destroyed him at the line when we took our complimentary pass down the 1320. That was a highlight for me was the no-names from the shownshine lined up against each other with street tires, no helmets and all and clicked off a 12.58 and a 12.70 at 109 and 110 mph(1.94/1.96 short times) to finish off the day. On the return road the people were going crazy, This guy stopped Jeff wanting all the details of his truck, never saw anything like that before. It was a great day, the ride home was long with some traffic to contend with plus we were dog tired. The trucks drove and looked good, got us back which neither one of us tards thought about throwing our spare tire in. I did have a pair of unmounted F1's in the bed though. Another thing, those guys down there know how to prep a track.

That was an awesome day..........and I must say, when the 2 no names lined up at the light and blasted into the 12's that just made the day!!!!!!!!!!

Darek had an awesome first outing also. Mike and Deb blasted into the first round of elims and Mike breaking out of that 13.01 stigma and laying it into the 12's.

The monster KB Harley had me grinnin all the way down the track. I didn't have the slicks on the first 2 rounds........layed a 13.5 to shake the new tune down then came back with a 13.3 with the goodyears on......then the fun began, slicks went on......1.88 leaving soft with a 12.7 then backed it up with a 12.6 with more behind it. Awesome day in all!!!!!!!

What an awesome trip...I had a really good time! It was great seeing the WashLO and PALO gang! Everyone was throwing down some crazy ET's and I heard a few even had new PB's. The racing, track prep, facility, and car show was top notch--what a huge car show! I'll be doing this trip again next year . Here are some pics I took....

The Mustangs were out in force:

I like the color on this one:

I liked the red, white, and blue theme on this SHO's intake:

Steve and I displaying our rides:

And then we found the "other" car show on the other side of the snack stand:

Check out the "space age" mod on this Mercury:

And then there was this ol' farm truck Ford sitting in the back row:

Then the no names lined up for a little 1320 action:

I'd also like to point out that although I slept at the light and came out of the hole real slow--thought I would spin like crazy because of the street tires and no air pressure drop--the 12.58 belongs to "the recruit" and the 12.70 belongs to the "Captain."

Man you have a great camera and good pics, but you eliminated the pic that showed the win light, I think that would be the Captain, now go back to sleep recruit.
I think Rick will chime in with alittle footage, muhaha.
