Eye candy for Jon....

If there are any questions about why I am not eager to drive this pig back to Joliet....maybe this will help.

Rear suspension almost done.
The shocks are AFCO gas charged double adjustable and mount upside down, they also have a coil over option on them which I am not sure if I am going to use them or not. I got them just incase and they are on there for the pics only, now they will be removed.

There are some small details in this pic, The frame bump stops are made out of stamped steel for the stockers....these are aluminum. There are other projects like this, the mounting bracket on the side of the trans for the shifter cable is stamped steel....or it was.

Killer Chiller mounted inside front bumper....you can also see the lightening slots/holes that Mr. Scribner did in the bumper itself.

Quick shot of front suspension.

Other odds an ends.

Canton power steering reservoir that has been remodeled to mount on the fan shroud.

RandomTechnology 3" metal matrix Cats. Also have Magnaflow mufflers with exact same mounting flanges and lengths that plug into the same location incase I want or need to go catless.

Stock 6 gpm intercooler pump versus Dedenbear 23 gpm I/C pump.

Looks like the Doc has done some clean surgery
Looks like one of my old hand me down parts on that rear diff too
Jon looks like he has just about two weeks work left to me
By the way, that IC pump can double as a fire pumper when you are not using it to recirc. ic fluid.

Man Dale.......that rear suspension looks nice.

Is that a iberglass or carbon fiber mono-leaf? Those coil overs just look like they were meant to go in there. Very clean install.

I needed a steel spring to work with the Caltrac's so I took a Hotchkis and made it into a mono leaf. The main leaf is about a half inch thick and VERY heavy duty. Then I had to make new spring eye's for it and remodel the Caltrac's and on and on. It took several fittings but I finally got what I wanted. I don't think there is one un-modified stock piece or part left back there.

The leaf weighs less than 20 lbs per side versus 48 for a stocker but I think the glass springs are quite a bit less than that ??

Just BEAUTIFUL work Doc ! Just boggles my feeble mind to look at some of the work on the underside of yer truck.

I am concerned about the "2 more weeks" statements made though.......and what's that protective material between the jackstands and the rear end housing ? A little "ragman" coming out in ya ?

I picked up right away on that chrome rear end cover though. That's a psychological thing. Yeah, that bling-bling will reflect right in yer competitors eyes at a critical time and throw off their concentration....
