| Moderator Paid Member | CCCA drag racing.... ....after not running in '08 I kinda REALLY got the itch. I was a "wuss" and didn't want to run without further tuning to help to prevent having a "catholic" block, you know, holy..... Now that the Wizard with his infinite wisdom in massaging the 'puter in the truck has worked his magic on the blue one I'm a ready to attack the track. CCCA has a racing series that runs both PR and Bremerton. There is a Ford Drag Team to sign up with as we didn't do well in trying to create our own Lightning team last year. First 3 race dates are at Bremerton in April. One thing that might bother some is no slicks, only DOT legal tires which means drag radials. Here's their website so's you can explore and get most questions answered. Car Club Challenge Association - CCCA Any interest in competing ? Here's their schedule..... 2009 Race Schedule Date Location April 11 ------ Bremerton Raceway April 25 ------ Bremerton Raceway May 9 ------ Bremerton Raceway May 15 ------ Pacific Raceways May 29 ------ Pacific Raceways June 6 ------ Bremerton Raceway June 12 ------ Pacific Raceways July 10 ------ Pacific Raceways July 25 ------ Bremerton Raceway July 31 ------ Pacific Raceways August 7 ------ Pacific Raceways August 28 ------ Pacific Raceways September 12 ------ Bremerton Raceway September 19* ------ Bremerton Raceway * Season ending BBQ, Awards and election of 2010 officers. ![]() Last edited by Skritch; 01-29-2009 at 06:26 AM.. |

| Student of Horsepower Paid Member | I think I might actually have my junk runnin this year. Early on it won't have the big blower on it but it would be fun to see how fast it will go with a ported Eaton. If I can get a legal 11.50 out of it with cats and all that would be fun. |

| Student of Horsepower Paid Member | John....you are sooooo predictable. I knew you would be he first to respond to this.....I had an egg timer on ya. ![]() I will run fairly soon....provided I don't fall on my *** again or something fun like that. PS....I even had S.Glide working on it on monday.....well for a minute anyway. I have been waiting almost 3 months to check and see if the rear ride height is where I want it and Monday I finally found out....Thanks Steve Last edited by Bad as L; 01-29-2009 at 02:39 PM.. |

| Super Moderator Paid Member | Yeah, you wont see me at PR, those guys are bandits without a mask ![]() I still feel violated and it has been a year. I'm up for BR though anytime. Hey Skritch, I am in the same boat as you were, I pegged my meter at 5000rpm last night (37* and a baro well into 30.) It was definately a Siberian high that even the delval guys would of wondered at. Truck felt really crisp, thats why yours has a winter tune Scott, dont compare yours to the Jones'. Flog the hell out of her, it dont matter what the weather is. |

View this user's gallery iTrader: 4 / 100% | Gen 1's: for those of you interested in participating in this event, but do not have DOT approved slicks/drag radials; I'm thinking of getting rid of my MT ET Street slick/rim combo . |
