I hope everyone had a great time out there today! I sat at work today thinking of you guys and thought of missing out on the burnt rubber smell/burnouts...when I got off work I got my fix, hehe

Yowsir, yowsir, yowsir ! The man hisself put a couple of Chebbies on the trailer today ! That silver fox Lightning of the man Jon trailered a 10 second Chebby Too first round, then promptly parked another one in round two ! Jon's first time trial had him singin' the blues again 'bout that silver fox not a runnin' like she should. After runnin' a couple more time trials he was a smilin' a bit as he scribed a 13.02 on his glass for a dial-in which was only around a hundredth off his best TT run. Don't recall what exactly he trailered in the second round but it was another Chebby. He was a workin' on his R/Ts as well and psychin' himself up in the burnout box. He'd look into the rearview and mutter to hisself, "smoke'em if ya got'em.....

He's even grudgingly is gettin' the feel fer bracket racin'. R/T, consistency, and finish line drivin' is part of the mix. Why he even tapped his brakes just before the finish line in one of his rounds to ensure no breakout ! Darn the bad luck he red lighted in the third round ! Just like I did. Jon saw the big red globe against a Magnum SRT 8 while I witnessed the same red glow against an eleven second Chevelle. Hey, it was a hoot while it lasted ! Slid in 5 runs each before the sunset bulb lit up for both of us.

I bet this pic was taken after Jon cranked out that 13.03 with a 4 on a TT run...

Meanwhile I was wurkin' on my R/Ts for TT runs as well as seein' what Moody Blue would do. Saw a .020 light, then a .014 light and last TT set me up on the wrong side of the green with a -.008 light. Clicked off a 12.698 and 12.739 on the last two TT runs so chose a 12.70 dial for the first round. I figured since I ended up on the wrong side of the green bulb on the last TT run and I knew "exactly" when I left to get that red monster I just delayed my laser beam eyes by counting one one thous...and HIT the gas ! Got it just right and added .016 to my reaction time netting,......yes a .008 R/T ! Yeah RIGHT !!!!

Anyways that Monte Carlo with a twelve flat dial couldn't take seein' that reaction time flash up on the scoreboard so he left early, like .170 early ! 2nd round I guess I got kinda nervous about slicin' such a thin light the round before so I went just the opposite with a .108 R/T. What saved me is the Camaro whose day I ended early chose to have dinner at the tree before leavin' with a .341 R/T. His was another 12 flat dial to my now 12.71 and yep, I was on the brakes at the top end to ensure not giving up a win by breaking out ! My demise came in third round as well against a Chevelle runnin' on an 11.92 dial. I knocked the tree down and left only the red bulb standing and I wasn't even close to the "perfect light with a -.054 red !

Ah well it was bunches of fun while it lasted ! Met some more FDT guys, saw some interesting diesels run, Jon and I got to swap tall tales and outright lies for hours and it only sprinkled once causing around an hour delay at mid afternoon.

Great big HUGE thanks to Jon for helping the 'ol man with changing tires and wheels and help packing and unpacking my truck since I think I have to bring nearly my whole shop with me "just in case" !

And a thanks to Steve for giving me a lesson on the TwEECer Friday late afternoon and forcin' me to have Mexican food with he and Jamie.

And here's a couple of pics of some "other" cars though I think Jon snapped more pics than I and I KNOW he'll be throwin' some up here soon.

And that Anglia that liked to do the "two step" at the top end every time !

Scott and I had a great time yesterday. I did find that my truck was running real lean so I added 10% more fuel and got that settled down. AS far as ET's there was nothing new, same general area in the time ranges- 13.00x to 13.2xx ranges. Speeds are in the 107.xx range pretty consistently but this truck just won't cut a decent 60ft time no matter what.

I did get to the third round in brackets before the red-light incident.. Still not too keen on that concept, I like to race for ET's and tapping the brakes if ahead just isn't right, but I guess that's the only game in town.
I damn near put away a Magnum SRT8 but that was my red-light death. The guy stopped and said he was glad I cut that red because I was hard to catch. I think I may have beaten him across the line though, very close.
My best TT run was a 13.034 against a Camaro's 13.030. Think that was my closest race ever.
The Ford dragbteam had a pretty good turnout and there was a nice mix of newer "Muscle Cars" there. A SRT8 Challenger, SRT8 Charger, SRT8 Magum, an R/T Charger, a couple of G8-GT's and a GTO to name a few. Some smoking(literally) hot/fast diesel Dodge big a** 4 door 4X4 trucks too:scared1.

I only took a few pictures and they don't compare at all with Scotts, but that's the way it is...If some want better pictures, they ought to come and see in person .

Francis,
I didn't get to see his ET's, but I talked to him in the tech line. That Challenger is highly modded so it wouldn't be a good reference point anyhow

One program had around 11.0 to 11.2 AFR and the other 10.6 to 10.7 AFR.

I logged what I believe is the winter tune on the Aeroforce gauge and was seeing around 9 degrees of timing and mid 10s AFR.

I know Dale, it's not new, I can actually hear it when I mash it on an on ramp or something....Throttle body maybe? I'm sure that's a big part of the problem, truck kinda falls flat and then picks up again

We can lean the two up a bit. 9 degrees timing, what was your IAT2 temps, seems the computer is pulling about 5 degrees which doesn't make sense for what is in your tune, unless your ic pump died.
