Weather is kinda okay sorta maybe. However, I'm finishing up with the prep stuff and gettin' ready to pack it up.

Ever the optimist I am so I'm plannin' on headin' over and crossin' my fingers that it'll be dry over there.

Up here it rained this morn early and now has stopped. Weather guessers are callin' for cloudy on Saturday around Bremerton with spotty showers in the afternoon. At least that's what they say early this morn......

Well, what can I say ? I'm sittin' in Port Orchard at a Days Inn with blue sky above (around 8 PM) and now there's light clouds above (check post time stamp). Gots two, count'em two, SRTs in the parking lot that I'm sure are goin' racing in the morn, a Charger and a R/T (station wagon). Last Accuweather forecast shows cloudy until 4 PM then rain for an hour and back to cloudy at 5 PM. Be headed out to the track in the morn to get in line and cross my fingers for the day. Gonna run the CCCA deal this year as much as possible.

Over here 'cause I didn't wanna have'ta get up at 4:30 in the morn to get woke up and down to Bremerton around 8ish. Now I can get up around 6ish or 7ish and it's 4.5 miles to the dragstrip ! Yeah, that's what I like ! If it gets rained out then I had a decent room with a king bed and jacuzzi for the night !

Called Steve around 8:30 PM and he said he'd drag his butt outa bed early to have a look see and give me a hollar maybe to check the weather here. I have a very sophisticated weather station, if'n the deck lid on the truck is wet, it's raining. If my hat blows off it's windy. If'n I slip and fall on my butt, it's snowin/icey. If'n I breathe on the gas pedal and it doesn't spin like crazy it just may be dry !

Weather at midnight is dry...an I'm a gonna WIN ! I'm just glad I don't have'ta beat you guys to do it

Gates open at 8 AM time trials at 9 Usually can't even get through tech by 9 ! Eliminations start at 1 PM normally but weather may cause some issues with that. They do have a website but the internet connection here is SSLLOOWW ! Bremerton raceway.com should get ya close.

Steve, maybe as I called him this eve, and me and that's about it I think unless Jon makes a last minute decision.

A couple of teaser pics from Bremerton today. I'm so tired I don't think I can write a story about the "interesting" day we had ! Suffice to say we got one run in for time trials, the powers that be just DID NOT want us to race today. Jennifer's crew chief had the base timing a bit askew on the black truck, Corey ran his Super Cab through, and I had a dismal ET along with the 60 foot time and we won't EVEN talk about the RT. However, the mile per hour at the top end was 107 plus so I'm thinking that's the best MPH I've had and if I could get it right at the front end of the run I could be lookin' at a new best for the '02.

Did snap some pics of the Pro class cars as they are sumthin' I just LOVE door slammers !

Radiused rear wheel wells caught my attention on this one. That was a 60s and 70s thing. Then he launched...

Then an ol' beater '55 Chebby came up to the line...

This one really caught my attention. Haven't seen an early Tempest in a lotta years ! Hey Doc, didn't the early Tempests and F-85s have a little 215 all aluminum V-8 engine available ?

Saweet !

OMG a '47 pickemup...

The funny thing about this car is when I was a teenager (last century) they were a dime a dozen kinda cars. They were "teenager" cars. Yeah, try to buy one now for a "dime"....this one seems to have a little more than the original 265 in it...

Soft spot for these I have...

Now looky who showed up ! John (cruzn93SVT). Heat'em John...

Whoa, wait a minute John, they're street tires, ya don't need to do a John Force kinda burnout !

Birfday Boy and wifey arrived on scene, unloaded her truck out of the trailer and were seen trolling for birfday gifts for the "old man"

More later, I'm comin' down off my adrenalin rush and it's gettin' hard to keep the eyes open and the mind processing...

Great going guys, I'm glad you got some runs in, hopefully not a bunch of rain delay.
I spent the day at the dealership trading a vehicle in for another

OH yeah Happy Birthday Corey.
