Did fiddle with it a bit two nights ago and will just have to find the "motivation" to finish up the process to get the frame finished so the parts can get installed on it.

Soon.....

I might have to take a trip up there and put some motivation in you. I want to see this thing cruising.

Okay, I started back on the "scuffing" process of sanding, wire wheeling, and more sanding process. Jeez, I HATE this part of the whole deal ! The good news is I got the rust treament, rust encapsulator, and chassis paint fer it. Nuttin' to do now but just get the da#n thing readied for the painting process. Then the funner part comes with the powdercoating replacement of bushings, hardware, etc, and finally the reassembly of the tail end. Well you know there will be pics as the process progresses. Next thing ya know it'll be time to move on to the middle part of the truck, the cab......

Scott,

I'd like to come up and hang out sometime soon just to see what you are up to and visit your great garage again.

Come one come all ! Kinda tight on time though. This weekend (Friday thru Sunday) it's Tri Cities, next weekend (Thursday thru Sunday) it's off to Meridian for Sprint Cars, weekend after that is CCCA drag racing then the weekend after that is Sprint Cars again.

Tuesday the 26th of May (1 PM or later) is good for youse that work nontraditional schedules !

There will be no need for that fire inspection. I took all the Christmas lights down in January so we are safe until late November.

Took some pics and they turned out blurry ! Should'a known to grab the Canon instead of the Kodak. Now, I went out there again this eve (okay around 2 AM this morn) and clicked a couple of pics. Back third of frame is 3/4 of the way prepped for reassembly. Ground, sanded, wire wheeled, wire brushed, and all that crap that I HATE then Eastwood rust converter for the little surface rust that existed then two coats of Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. Comes out just the way I like a frame to look. Not quite flat black but just a touch of sheen to it. The stuff is really tough requiring a bunch of effort to scratch through, tenacious as all get out.

Goal is to get the parts truck over to the shop before 1/1/2010 to swap the rear end and rear suspension. The original Skool Buss stuff is going under the parts truck and the parts truck will donate its parts for the Skool Buss. That'll start the prep and assembly of the back end of the project.

Pics are always in order now aren't they ?

Ahhhh.....nope. The 3 days before and after Christmas nuttin' gets done out in the toy shop around here. Time to get back on the "winter projects" though. A blue truk needs the intercooler reservoir finished up and the Whipple hung on it, the red one has a long list of projects for it and of course the Skool Buss needs to show progress.....
