Scott

Thanks for arranging the Griots what a great day.

Now that Sparky and Bueller are about done with Sparky's truck I have an idea.

With todays weather I think we need to get one of them new crate 302s and drop it into this:

Ya know, that may have some merit what with the weather guessers forcast for the week ! Its just a good thing Jeff can work in his garage on his truck and not have to push it out in the driveway. Nuttin' but rain, Rain, RAin, RAIn, RAIN here today !

Good seeing everyone today.... I have been wanting to get some of Griots product for some time. Had to use the excuse with my "banker" that it was for her ride in order to bet the whole package. After I got home and looking thru their catalog I realized that there was a couple more things I wanted. So on-line I go.

Stopped by NW Mini on my way out. The sales guy had a good laugh with me driving in with the L wanting to look at a mini….

Prolly not a bad idea John. Gas prices like they are, we all sell our Lightnings and form a mini club, they do have a roots blower so they can be considered a little sister

The wife and I talked about letting the L go, due to gas prices, but that just aint going to happen . We have a '01 Bug now I use as a daily driver, but that will be soon be taken over by my daughter. So I gotta find something else to drive around in on a daily basis. The mini is one option but ya gotta go 'S'.

After seeing and driving one Saturday, I'm afraid I might start treating it like the 'L' and not want to drive it on a daily basis. But I will say, it's fun, but it aint no 'L' and I dont think you will see me ever driving the Bug to a gtg, or a mini if I get one.

I didnt ask that question.... But they had a number of them on the lot waiting for someone to pluck down way to much $$$. They appeared to have way more used then new however. I guess it depends on them having what you really want.

Starting price for the 'S' is almost $27K plus EVERYTHING is an option with a steep price, even your color selection. I was kinda shocked... they had one '08 on the lot priced at just above $50K. I can think of a lot of other cars I would rather have at that price.

I just want a dd commuter that is somewhat fun... I had a flash last night... can you say SVT'F'

Yep, SVT Focus......or any car that you would enjoy but pick it up lightly used rather than new. Let somebody else cover the "depreciation" cost driving off the lot. They are always around, just takes some hunting to find them. Especially now with the economy heading down the sh!tter.....

My '02 L and Jean's '01 Subie were both lightly used when purchased with most of the warranty remaining and both with low mileage and both 5 to 8K less than buying new...
