Talking Here is an idea for your next mod

Scott

Well not exactly a mod but something small to keep you busy for a while:

YouTube - Just a little project

Well, finally down to just one item left on this job. The passenger seat needs to be reconfigured/recovered and it's a wrap. Got the console wired up so the powerpoint in back works and have wiring provisions for a gauge in the front cutout. Didn't put in Jon's piece he made for me yet as I'm not sure what I want to do so just slid in the thin piece Rick whipped up. All done, but for the seat.....

Now, about them cams and valve springs Dale.........Maybe I can get Steve up here to rip into it....he's got some experience now with these new fangled OHC motors.....

Pics....
FIgured I might as well disassemble the passenger seat all the way for the upholstry shop

Finally !!! Got my part all done...it's up to an upholsterer now...

Notch made in cab storage compartment to facilitate removal around the Expy console.

Looks good Scott, since you've taken the seat down this far you might as well get out the scalpel and give upholstering a shot

FINALLY !!! This one is finally done ! Last Wednesday I took the morning and went to six different upholstry shops in the greater Everett area with the Gen 2. Seat pan installed in the cab, the OEM seat pieces in the "trunk" of the truck. Got estimates from the shops, made a decision and drove back to the 2nd shop I talked with to get the seat upholstry cut down as well as the Wet Okole seat cover. Picked it up yesterday, installed the seat this morn and it turned out very well !!!!

The upholstry shop was a double good deal as well. Not only was his price a third less than the next best price but his workmanship is perfect for this job too !! Would hav'ta highly recommend this shop in Everett for this job if any others are thinking of doing this conversion.

What's a post without pics.......

The new passenger side "bucket" seat...

The Wet Okole seat cover trimmed up to fit the new bucket seat...

The new interior. Went from a 3 seater to a 1 seater for awhile and now a 2 seater....

Drivers side...

That's a nice job! Why cover it w/ the Wet Okole seat covers though? Not saying they aren't sweet too since I had them in my 01 Cobra. Just a great deal of work went into that whole project and the seats. Show off them bad boys!

Scott

If you are not going to use the center section you cut from the passenger seat I can dispose of it for you.

Because the Alcantara on our seats does not wear well over the years.....Wet Okole seat covers do. The material on the passenger seat looks so good 'cause it's been covered by Wet Okoles for the past 4 + years.
