Post Bremerton Drags

Hey! is anyone alive out there?
I realize that it is pretty drap with all the pollen out and all but come on.Are you all flat on your backs?
I cant get in the Bremerton web-site and was wondering if they are running next Friday night for a little test and tune. If they are lets get together, with a little cool air it should put smiles on all our faces.
Chime in.

Glad to see someone talk about Bremerton Raceway. A couple of weeks ago I tried to set something up and nobody from F150 showed up. Tried again Saturday, 4-28 and only Tom in Tacoma was interested. We cancelled due to rain, though.

There isn't a test and tune this Friday but there is one Saturday, May 12th along with the NHRA National Open. I say we bug everyone and set something up for that day. What do you say? I'm having trouble getting into the 150 World site but I'll keep trying and we'll try to set up racing again. Let's do it!!!

I thought Bremerton RW was IHRA. Did they change to NHRA?

I just posted about the 12th of May on the F-150 World forums. Since I've never run at Bremerton Raceway - can someone give me a few details about costs and so forth that I can post?

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to this!

Tom, here is the info you requested....

1.Cost..$20 to get in the gate and access to the pits so you can race. $2 to buy a number to race with (one time charge only.)$8 for senior citizens and active duty military. Kids under 12 FREE.
2. As you get to the gate they will ask you what kind of racing you plan to do and your bracket. Tell them "sportsman" for your class and "test and tune" for the kind of racing you plan to do. The sportsman class is for those of us who plan to run 13.0 seconds or slower. If you are faster than that you are on your own .
3. Gates open at 9AM on Saturdays and 7AM on Sundays. I recommend getting there before the opening time because there is a REAL big line of people trying to get in and we don't want a late start. I usually leave Tacoma at 8AM.
4. Here are some rules I got right out of their rule book..
No glass bottles or alcohol allowed.
Speed limit is 10 MPH in the pits.
No racers will pit right of the ticket booth (I'll show you where to park if we go together).
No spectator parking in the pits.
No dogs allowed.
No open fires.
Children under 14 are not allowed in the restricted areas.
Children must be supervised at all times.
No firearms allowed.
5. Need white shoe polish in the squeeze bottle to write your racing number on your windshield. I have a bottle that people can use if needed.
6. If you think that your times will be in the 13s or faster you MUST bring a helmet with you. After the first time you hit the 13s thay will tell you that from now on you will need a helmet to compete and they mean it.
7. Food is available. Hamburgers, hotdogs, coffee, soda, etc.

Also need DOT approved tires, mufflers are required also. I believe a driveshaft loop is too if you are running anytime in the 13's or lower.

Cool

Hey guys! Isn't anyone interested in seeing what their L will really do? The weather forecast for Bremerton Raceway on May 12th is sunny. Post here if you are planning on going so we can get together either in Tacoma to caravan together of at least meet at the track. $20 for a whole day of fun can't be beat.

Bremerton isn't that far from Everett. You only need to drive down to Edmonds and take the Kingston ferry. Another option would be to take the Seattle ferry straight into Bremerton. Piece of cake!

Hey sstock, did you make it to Bremerton Friday night? How were your times? I went Saturday and my times weren't the greatest. My Airaid doesn't seem to do anything. Just wondering if you ran as good as you normally do.

Yep, Craig and I went up about 1pm Friday, got teched and only got 3 runs in . This PO'ed me, cost $30 and left at 6:30 and only got 3 runs in. They were somewhat disorganized. Anyway there was a 15mph headwind, but the track was real sticky, I was playing around with different launches with the drag radials. My best 60' was 1.91 sec.
The temp of the track was a little warmer than the last time I ran there, My best was 13.61 at 100mph. I was hoping for better but not that day. I also was carrying more fuel too than I usually do.
None the less it was fun seeing all the dragsters and all. How was your times?
