| Guest | I discovered I've got the dreaded intercooler leak today. Has anybody in the in the area had theirs replaced? How was the service? I don't want to have to go through the whole "Never heard of this" or "we pressure tested it and it's not leaking", or worse "Inner-cooler? That truck ain't got no turbos, does it?" ------------------ Mark '00 Lightning '79 Corvette |

| Guest | I am going to wait a while to see if the rumored "fix" becomes available. I don't want to have to go through this after another 16k miles. I'm keeping a log of how much coolant I have to replace so I can tell if this becomes a catastrophic problem. I was hoping someone around here (Seattle) has had one replaced so I can go to a dealer with some experience. I don't like anybody messing with my truck, let alone tearing the top half off the engine, so I'm a bit paranoid about it being out of my site for several days. Evergreen Ford's service department seems pretty professional, but they are also extremely impersonal. One person makes the appointment, another discusses the problem with you, another puts on the floor & steering wheel protector and drives it away, and somewhere out of site yet another person actually deals with the problem. ------------------ Mark '00 Lightning '79 Corvette |
