Thumbs up Sh@t or get off the pot

Let's get the club going!!

That means we need people to step up to the plate (Board). If you can help out please state what you can do to help out (Web support/Design, Manage the day to day affairs, ect....) If you can't commit to the requirements of the club, then just say so. There's nothing worse than to commit for something and not complete the task. It looks poorly on the person and the entire orginazation. It creates hard feelings between members. Here's and example of what I mean: I work around 60 hours a week so my time is limited so I can help with phone calls , setting up events as long as I'm not the only one that's on a paticular project. I also fish most of the year, so I may not be at all the functions.

So let's work together! Teaming is the best way to acheive sucess in most clubs that I've been in. And speaking of teaming, I spoke to the F150 club who wants to accept Lightning owners as part of their club also. And at no cost! I'm a firm beleiver that close to 50 members will get more support from sponsors. More so than less than 10 members will. This is a prime example of how working together will benefit all of us.

This letter was not ment to offend anyone, it just the truth about building our club. So let's get this club going....

Hi guys,
Steve and Phil if you want to get the thing going that is fine by me.
If you guys want to stay with the F150 group for awhile that might work too. Either way will be good. I have found a place where we can have a Lightning roundup. It is on the pugetsound (GIG HARBOR) with boat ramp access, Pavilion with barbeque pits and facilities ect. We can park on the grass too. Room for about 20 lightnings.
I am looking at Saturday August the 25th. Let me know if interested.
Also, I plan on frequenting SIR and Bremerton raceway this season. April 7th kick off at Bremerton, weather permitting. It would be nice maybe to meet a saturday there for a club meeting. Do you guys want to have a meeting one evening say in Tacoma to start talking over a few of these things?
I realize my track record thus far stinks, but the three of us should be able to get it going. I like most, am busy with work, home repair raising three kids, coaching, ect. I am a **** poor planner but can help.
My son says he will start a web page for the WASHLO
Thanks for the response,
Later
Steve

Steve,I think we can make this work by doing it together. Shawn would like to help out, so I think he can take this and run and we can help out as much as needed.Plan on seeing you at bremerton at least 1 time in the near future.I think a picnic in the summer would be great so lets keep talking.

Here's an Idea.

The 2nd Annual Seattle Roadster Show is happening March 15th - 18th at the Stadium Exhibition Center in Seattle. Tom_in_Tacoma say's it's promising the best hot-rods, customs, muscle cars, competition cars and bikes in the US and Canada. In addition to the cars the show also has a huge automobilia collectibles show & sale. Also of interest is a model car show & contest. A couple of us in Everett have decided to convoy down on the Sat. the 17th. Anybody care to join in for the convoy down.
Entrance fee is $13 per adult. Additional information is located at http://www.hotrodshows.com/seattle/srs_details.htm

Another good place that I know of for a meet would be the park right next to the mukilteo Ferry. On the mainland side. It has a nice grass area for tossing a ball or something like volleyball. And the parking lot could handle like 50 trucks. What do you think Steve, Steve, and Phil. Let me know.
