| Guest | I'm coming up to a light & I see a young guy in his SS Camero with roll-cage; huge tach; & sounding like a top fuel dragster or something. I'm behind him in traffic at the light; it changes & he's busy looking at somebody going the other way. He finally looks up and sees that the other cars are already moving & hears my rev. I pull up beside him & we give each other that little smile of mischief. We get to the next light side-by-side & he says "You wanna run"? I say "Looks like you got a monster there, but why not". Light turns and we are still side-by-side for about 15 seconds & he slowly pulls just a bit ahead at his last shift. We shut down & get to the next light & he says "What the hell is that thing? You using NOS? That's the closest race I've ever been in with anything & didn't expect a challenge from a TRUCK? I had to spray the s*** out of my NOS to beat you". I tell him that I do have NX, but my 100 shot bottle is at home!!!! I tell him maybe we'll meet up again. He says NO THANKS with a smile. We exchange thumbs-up. ------------------ '01 Black; #3710 |

You say you weren't on the juice, yet the juiced SS with a rollcage (no guarantee, but usually a good indicator that there's some serious $hit going on) barely pulls on you up to 120 or so (you said 15 sec's). Kinda hard to believe that one... You post a lot of kill stories... | Guest | I started to go into the whole explination to defend each kill & give the chronology of modification vs. horsepower & torque - - then I thought about a quote I read on here once after watching some "racing" videos, "I want my 30 minutes of life back". | Guest | Im with Hankd on this one too. A NOS'd LS1 would be way more than able to dust a 01 L that didnt have its NOS going. Even a LT1 with spray. I LOVE Lightnings too but this is just a bit much man. That would be like my car with NOS barely beating a new Lightning without spray.
