Angry i hate rice fly-bys

the other night i'm cruising around to clear my head (hey, spiderman swung from buildings, and my webshooters aren't working) and some silver slice of rice comes SCREAMING out of nowhere. total piece of garbage. coffee can out the ***, "powered by maxwell house" sticker on the window, neon lights, the whole shebang. he pulls up next to me and rolls down his window (now, this is NY in december, i DON'T want to roll down my window to talk) he asks, "that thing fast?" i say, "no" and he says, "didn't think so...." oohhhhh maannnnn.....now he done it. so i roll my window up, scan for johnny law, and wait for the green light. the light goes green and we're off. now, i'm trying to re-learn how to drive my truck with the 4.56s, but i look in my rearview and see 2 things: smoke coming from the tires, and my challenger disappearing in the distance. so traction sucks, but she's an animal. so i dust this guy and shut it down 'round 75, and he does the typical "fly-by" and CUTS IN FRONT OF ME, almost clipping my nose off!!! i pull up to the next light and he's like, "nice race" so i reply with, "i'll race anyone, but if you ever do something like that again, i'll kill you" why are rice boys so arrogant?

Man I hate that. Ricer's are so stupid. I had a "ricer" come after me one day. I was riding through Buena Vista going to my friend Schrober's house (with the 98 BMW ///M3) and I was in my 94 stock Honda Accord. As always in his neighboorhood (no matter what im driving) I'm sticking it around the S-turns leading to his street passing a yard full of people, I wasn't paying them any attention I was just trying to get to Schrob's house to go cruising. Before I even get to my friends driveway (roughly 200 ft from where I stuck it) I see these Head and Fog lights come flying up behind me, well I thought It was my friend so I started messing with him like we always do brake-checking and speeding up until I got to his driveway. When I pull to the side of the Road to say "whats up" to him this Red Camaro slides up beside me (automatic, Neon lights galore, 4 gauges on the A-pillar, H-rated tires and revs his engine,it has a horrible sounding exhaust,)then the guy hops out of the Car. I was not in the greatest of moods this night, Having a full blown Case of Mononucleosis (I havent gotten any play in months, and I got Mono whats up with that?!!!!) I wasn't in the mood for a fight, but I was ready for it. This ***** runs over to my window, with me still in the car, and goes "So whats up with you revvin' you think you got something?" I said I wasn't revving my engine, I was engaging in a little aggressive driving at the Apex's back there minding my buisness....Take a hint. I said "do I havent anything?...."And i pointed to the steering wheel (for those that don't know there is a big Ugly "H" right in the middle of an Accord Steering wheel) and I said "son can you read that...No I don't have anything here, but give me 30 minutes and I'll wax your ***." (The Lightning or a 1970 Ford F-100 Pro street, Drag Truck) So he says "you better uh, you better watch who your talking to and revving at" Well I was done talking to this schmuck before he said that so I back into my friends driveway and flicked him the big one as he drove off. My friend Schrober pulls up 10 minutes later, and I tell him about it. I thought this was a Z-28 or SS, except for the stickers all over the stupid thing. It was an automatic with stupid neons underneath and gauges for, cabin temperature or something cause he didn't have Jack sh**. Turns out it was a V-6. OHHHHH I was so pissed off. What gave this little Fudge-packer the audacity to try and talk sh** to ANYBODY. We'll we wen't tearing down the road to look for him, and found him, at the same house sitting in the driveway. To make a long story short the M3 wasted his c*ck sucking arse by 10, yes 10 car lengths starting in 4th Gear from 40 to 80. This guy deserves a flogging. If I ever see this guy In the Lightning I'll be sure to reciprocate his smug rich boy hospitality. Some people can be so brainless, base, and stupid.

lightning247,

i have to know, how did you pull off 9.25 in the 1/8th with a bone stock 93L?? i have never seen any 93-95 bone stock lightning run that fast in the 1/8mile. my dad has a 94L and stock ran 9.9 once, but ran consistant 10.0's and with pulleys got down to a 9.7. i'm also curious what was your mph?

even with slicks i don't see it dropping the times that low. have you ever run your L? i have a 95cobra and the best i've done in the 8th was 9.24. put it this way, there was a 99 or 00 L at the track and was only running 9.2. so your telling me a gen1 L with no mods and with slicks would keep up with a 99 or 00 L? oh well, i'm not trying to start a big ol arguement, but just wanted to know how he got such low times with a bone stock L.

Best times ive seen out of a Bone stock L1 was 15.0 and he DID SMOKE the 1/8 and had great 60s but I dont recall him ever hittin that low...that is a 14.2 to 13.8 1/8th mile time isnt it? I know my R/T(pray for her guys hehehe) was doing 8.9-8.8 N/A. and that was a 13.8@100mph pass.

BUT with a nice size STALL and some stickys...I think it could EASILY be pulled off. just my 7.0 Cents

well my 95 cobra ran a 9.24in the 8th and i only mustured up a 14.409 in the 1/4. for some reason the power falls off a little on top end. could be my driving and the fact that my timing is pulled in between shifts. and after 93mph fuel is added to slow me down even more. the damn computer ford used for the cobra's. a 9.2 in the 8th should probley be anywhere from 14.1 to 14.4 i'd say. your times in the 1/8 and 1/4 sound right. i ran my sisters 97 cobra stock and got a best 8.9@80mph. i love L's but there's no way it's going to run a 14.2 bone stock.

big problem I had with my R/T was When I opened up the Motor the Bottom end Disappeared. I went from smoking the tires at will to breaking but not spinning as strong as it did....my torque was over 320 but on the Dyno we seen it come in at 2500RPMs and the Horses were the same...so for an R/T it was a topend motor... For an R/T.

Thing was Id race stock R/Ts and they'd pull 2 cars if We pulled even then by 60 I was 2 ahead and Walking away. I believe the Cobras have the EXACT Same Problem...Correct me if im wrong.

well i would sya the 96 and above cobra's might be like that. my 95 has a 302. the 96 and up cobra's power comes on strong in the higher rpm's. i lined up against a 96 and beat him up until the 1/8 mark and bam he was in front of me and i couldn't catch him. even though i was in front of him at the 1/8 he still ran a faster time than i did. you know, due to rt. my best 60' so far has been a 2.13. i always try to get the tires to spin a little because if i don't and the rpm's get to low when i take off the car will bog on me. the only mods i have done to the car are 3.73's and pulleys. the tires spin very easily with the 3.73's. next on the mod list is my new cam and porting the heads. i have the cam, now just have to find time to swap it out. i'm hoping with the new cam, ported heads and possible new headers i will ge my times down to 14 flat and maybe even high 13's. what all have you done to your R/T? i havn't had the chance to race an R/T. gotta watch out for some of you guys though!

Now that I spun the Bearings... Project 'LightningKiller'(Sorry guys hehe) weve pulled the Motor and am Installing a 406 Stroker Kit along with an 8lb psi Vortech V1. She should be ready in two weeks..Block goes to the Machine shop Monday.

now all I need is a set of Heads.

Maybe you need to call it project "Get it Running" first.
