Ty = SUV
Sy = Mini-truck.

Both are well respected on the street. Neither are in the class of the Lightning. And when I say class, I mean Full-Sized truck only.

I wouldn't consider them ricers. Maybe some people see them as mini-trucks and just apply that stereotype to them. Hell, sy/tys were around before all the huge ricer rage hit, you can't group them in there.

Maybe it's because alot of the Sy/Ty types who've been coming here lately ACT like ricers themselves? I've no personal quarrel with the trucks; back when they were built and I was sitting in high school autoshop I thought they were badass, still do. Been several years since I've seen one though.

I think it would have been easier to ask "Who thinks Sy's and Ty's are ricers" because this post doesn't look like anyone is going to agree. I personally don't view them as ricers. A Ricer is more of a person or a personality, not a vehicle.

I've never seen a riced out Sy/Ty. I really don't remember any rice comments made on here, maybe I'm wrong??? They are certainly not posers, they got speed and in my book that disqualifies them as ricers.

I agree that Sy's arent ricers, they are just mini trucks. Ricers are all jigged up and no power. Sy's are all powered up and arent jiggy!

Sy/Ty's aren't rice. Infact if it weren't for fate I would own one right now. I saw the Ty on the lot were I bought my truck, on a fri. I went and checked it out Sat and took it for a drive. I loved it but I thought I heard a rod knock so I asked if I could have a mechanic I knew check it out. They said yes and I agreed to stop by Monday to pick it up and take it to the shop. I came back monday, and low and behold the Ty was gone. Appearently the guy that bought it came in about 20 min befor the dealer closed and traded his ride in right there and bought the Ty. The trade in was my L. I saw her sitting there and knew I was in love right there. I bought it later that day.

P.S. It infact was a rod knock and the motor blew up on the Ty like 2 weeks later. And a little more salt on the wound is that I rolled up next to said Ty like 5 months after fate stepped in and I beat him by 2 truck lenths with a 100 shot of sauce.
I still want one though and one day I will own one.....only a Ty though, I have enough problems with interior space now!

Thanks I love white too, i used to have a solid black car, never again (unless its a show car). this is WAY better and looks just as sharp as black ....
