Red face usually I don't post kills like these, but.......

Me and friend were driving to pick up my snuglid. I had the cruise on, going about 7 over the limit and I was passing a guy and his family in a honda sumtinornuther. He was looking my truck over in his sideview mirror as I was coming up and I could see him mouthing something, can't read lips but I think it was something about POS ford.... Anyway, as I pulled alongside, he speeds up. I hate that. Then he nails it. What?!!!??! Oh well, I give him some... Actually alot, 120mph worth, and distance immeasureable. Maybe he just wanted to see it run.

This morning at a stoplight in front of work, I had to change lanes to get in my parking spot so I took off fast to get in front of a Yukon. The woman driver didn't want me in front of her so she tried her best. Wasn't enough.

I know these are boring, but it has been really dry lately.....

mac and all,

had similar scenario today on the way home from work.

Picture this if you will (it's easy)

Maroon Mercury Villager soccer mom possessing the dreaded white-knuckled, get-the fruck-outta-my way-or-else pre-pass snarl.

I'm clipping along at my usual 75 in the hammer lane (aptly titled by the way) and this spawn of liberal brain trust comes blasting up behind me then proceedes to hide her ENTIRE front end behind my tailgate. Yes, no headlights or grill to be seen boys and girls. Yes, still moving at a steady 75 and traffic is beginning to thicken up a bit. Does this mean I'm supposed to move over yield the right of way to this far superior vehicle?.....NAH

Ok Vera.... tap the brakes for effect... no good.... hmmmmmm

No crevasses to lure her fine specimine of upscale Ford engineering into either... DAMN, that works SO well with this type too.

Suddenly, a break in traffic in the middle lane causes Ms. Hakkinen to attempt 75+ mph slipstream pass off my right rear bumper. With the rear slider cracked, the Mercury hampsters were working their asses off. With no traffic in my lane for a good half-mile, FISH ON!

Just as she pulled alongside even with my door, a quick blip of the throttle easily maintained her speed. This only caused her to assume the ultra-stylish 'hunker,' complete with death grip on the steering wheel and gritty I'll-show-you-******* snarl.

As soon as she realized she wouldn't make it before traffic, I noticed the window start to lower... UH OH, don't make me kick your *** *****! Just after the windows reached halfway, a hearty and forceful stab the of the loud pedal silenced mindless drivel with conical enhanced Eaton Skree and Magnaflow garnish. Buuuh Bye

She proceeded to follow until a fart pipe equipped Ford Fiesta with five 'Stunaz' cut her off and proceed to drive barely faster than slower traffic.

Just desserts.

man I hate that when someone is in the fast lane and wont let a faster vehicle around. I don't blame people much, the left lane is usually smoother. If there's room, they can even stay there I'll pass on the right but, if someone else wants to go faster why not let them around?
Coming home Sat. in the S/D there was a guy making the extra effort to be a jerk. Me and another car were traveling together getting along just fine at about 85 and 90. This peckerhead in a Grand Pricks GT decides to cut me off and then slows when he gets beside other cars so I can't pass. WHY!! Finally he gets behind a slow one in the fast lane and whips into the right lane to pass. Thankfully other cars see him as a Richard Cranium and we all tighten the gap so he gets stuck in the right lane while we pass and wave good bye to him!

I raced a Saab 9-3 in the Probe yesterday. Little suicide lane challenge from the Scandinavian, little turbo whistle, and a it was on. The JAP (Japanese-American Probe) put three cars on the European by the top of third.

The Probe is undefeated so far. You know, I think one reason that I like this car so much is that it isn't scary-fast, nor window-shattering loud. I can actually punch it without worrying about flattening a Festiva or drawing the attention of every member of the constabulary within ear-shot.

In most cases, faster traffic will be given the right of way if I'm not the quickest or I will pass them on the right if I am (more often than not). However, riding my posterior in an effort to convey 'move over a-hole' doesn't work. A simple flash of the brights at a reasonable distance to get my attention will illicit the desired response. Otherwise, they can go **** up a rope.

Cool

In my 75 mile round trip commute, it seems that I have the most problems with women in Mini Vans, so here are some open comments to them:

1. Get off of the cell phone, its 7 o'clock in the morning.Nothing can be that important.

2. I'm happy that your Husband can afford to buy you the Scarlet Crimson Grand Caravan with the Chapparal faux suede inserts, but that doesn't mean that you can run me off the road.

3. If you wanted this spot on this long stretch of highway, you should've left your House 3 seconds earlier.

4. My truck is older, bigger and made of steel. Any questions?

5. Tee ball practice/gymnastics/karate will still be there ten minutes from now.

6. The sign said "MERGE", not "BUM RUSH".

7.Make-up application is frowned upon.No amount of make-up can prevent your face going through the windshield.

8. There will always be another 30% off sale at Lord & Taylor.

VERY good point. Guess I failed to consider that the first time around . I have to agree, it torques me too. BTW- I did turn on the head lights for the Grand Pricks. He was just a turd!

You got it Bob! It torques me when people think they have the right to the fast lane when I'm doing 80 and they come up on my *** and hit their brakes. Some turn their brights and stay glued to your ***. Your right to the fast lane applies only when traffic in the fast lane is going LESS than the speed limit. I generally stay in the middle lane, but if I hafta get around a lot of traffic and go to the left, I refuse to raise my speed to 100mph just to satisfy some impatient *******.

But officer, he was holding up traffic. He was only going 10 over and I wanted to go 40 over.

There's been a few times I have had peaple rush up behind me, acting like they have to get by at any cost and then when you do yield to them they just sit there and float along with traffic until they can find someone else to bully around. Its the damndest thing I've ever seen. They are like school yard bully's, just trying to throw there weight around.

Also, I hear ya about the soccer mom thing, there should be a law against those things.

As far as I'm concerned with regards to 'The Hammer Lane', if someone wants to go faster than me, then I get out of their way at my first opportunity. That DOESN'T mean I cut off another vehicle, or for that matter, screw myself up in traffic, just to accomplish this. It just means that if someone wants to go faster, so be it. I don't care if you're doing 55 or 155, if somebody wants to pass you then please, get the F*** out of the way! Let 'em go 'beat the bushes' and find the local law enforcement before everyone else. Who am I to argue?

Now if they're tailgating, speeding up/slowing down, saluting you with a certain finger etc., basically driving like a ****, then of course, all bets are off!
