| Guest |  layed the smack down on tt supra First off the guy was very cool and his chick was very fine  . He was driving a 96 black twin turbo supra, so fresh and so clean!  trd stickers all over it and some very nice aftermarket wheels and it was lowered, he said it was a road racing susp. and it was an auto. tranny, now to the race...i saw him a couple of cars up from me as i was exiting the hwy i was very stoked to find out it was a tt and not n/a like most i see around here. well i ended up behind him following him around a corner and when it opened up to two lanes i got on it to get next to him i guess he heard me coming(full bassani exaust) cause when i got to his rear bumper he nailed it which caught me by suprise, i down shifted about a second after he did and he inched on me(by the way this is from about a 40 punch)but as soon as i shifted into 3rd or 4th(sorry i wasnt paying to much attention but it was a high gear)we were dead even neither of us pulling up to about 90 or 95. needless to say i was pretty pleased. we coasted the rest of the way to a stop sign, complimented each other on the rides he asked if i was stock and i just told him what i had(exaust chip and filter) he said his was mostly stock except for the things mentioned in the begginning of the post, he said that thing runs pretty good, i said yeah it does better from a stop he said ok lets do it, so he foot brakes his and cleans his tires, why i dont know, and i just waited with my foot on the brake and on the third honk we nailed it i just rolled on the go pedal and he i guess didnt get as good a launch even though i cant see how he could mess it up with an auto. but anyways i pulled him about 21/2 cars out of the hole and proceded to pull out to about a 4 car advantage on him before he matched speeds with me and after that neither of us pulled which i expected up to about 105 where we shut down. he slowed and turned around before me and didnt want to talk i guess and was nowhere to be found. sore loser i guess, oh well it was all in fun, but i have to say the outcome was not what i expected, cause i know the supras are beasts on the top end but i couldnt have been more pleased with the L's performance, it did everything i expected of it. for the record i dont post kills usually because i dont like to argue with flamers, things like punch speed gear shifts and ultimate speed in the race are the best i could remember so if you dont believe it dont flame me cause im not going to argue with you, im probably overreacting you guys are a lot nicer than ls1.com and sorry for the long post i just couldnt resist it was just to savory. peace out and happy hunting, emery ------------------ 2001 White lightning clear corners and filter kit now! 4lb pulley,chip and exaust early next week! | Guest |  I LOVE the Supras. There are 2 of them that I see regularly at Speed World with all the power parts. Both have full cages and are daily drivers. One is Silver and the other Black. The Silver ones best pass, we've seen so far, is a 10.6 at almost 140mph!! The other has even more trouble hooking up and runs around the 11.0 range at over 130. From a roll, the Silver car has outrun a GSX-R1000 to 150mph!!! The bike quit! These little cars can be made to flat out haul ***. ------------------ Rod K.
