A Bowtie Kill!!

I was finishing my Christmas shopping this afternoon and was headed home, when I see a very nicely restored '70 Chevelle up ahead with "Florida Bowtie Club" on the back window. We were on a 6-lane boulevard (3 each way) and I eased up next to him checking out the vintage Chebby. I was cruising in 3rd (OD off) and gave it just a hint of gas. He gave a little whomp on the loud pedal too. While moving about 25 I pulled it down into 2nd gear and let him know I was ready for LUNCH. He smiled and punched it. The ol Chebby roared to life with the death rattle and as soon as he started to pull, I nailed it. It was short and sweet. I didnt even need to break the speed limit, much. At around 60 or so, he was looking at the tailgate. It wasnt a close-up either. 3-4 lengths. Well he wasnt in the mood to talk after being flogged by a pickup, which was fine, I dont like to talk while Im eating...

On a side note, Ill be in NorthWest Alabama the 2 weeks around Christmas. Itd be cool to meet up for lunch or something with some Gen1 or Gen2s in that general area. What do you think??
