Angry Vortech install story/ R/T kill

well...have I got one for you guys. took us 23 hours to change the Head gaskets and install the Vortech this weekend... finished up saturday nite and took her for a ride... first off the damn air hat hose slipped off so we werent getting boost. fixed it. now we got a mis fire... change and cleaned the plugs...gone. ran down the road with my friend and his 12.9 Powerdyned R/T we counted to 3 and we were off...once we both hooked in second...I not walked but RAN away pulling 4 cars till 100mph WOW. then we turn to make another pass and stop....the oil light comes on and.....no oil pressure. UT O. went back hooked up a mech gauge thinking the sensor might be bad...nope...no pressure. we pull the filter and check the oil....METAL O ****. the guess right now is the oil pump went up and the ride back to the shop which was about a mile...Ate the Crank and rod bearings up WOOHOO! so its at the Dealer now...there are gonna "look the other way" in terms of the Vortech.
thank the Lord I have a GREAT Dealership near me!

OH wow, Tim, that sucks! Any chance the oiling system on the Vortech could have "helped" the failure??

Sounds like your truck is running strong. It's a real good thing your friends with the dealer because that kind of thing could make a grown man cry

What about the Vortech compressor!? It feeds off the engine oil right? My Vortech off my '96 Cobra had a little screen in the feed line to stop larger stuff from getting into the impeller area, but that's about it....good luck man!

thanks guys....nah...if anything the Vortech just "helped the pump go bad i think lots of power to an already weak oil pump. and im praying the blower is fine...really doubt the thing is hurt...the metal in the oil was slight enough not to DO major damage but the sight of it SHOWS damage to something catch what im saying? but yea the dealer here is BAD ***! they DID tell me though...if its the pump theyll fix it...if they prove the vortech did it then its on me...but even they were like "we really doubt thats the case."

I hope your tech guy is a better mechanic than me. Everytime I do a project I always find some "extra bolts/screws" that I didn't have before I started. Good luck with that thing...keep us updated!!!
