| Guest | I was cruising down Dale Mabry (for you locals) last Saturday on my way to drinking a frosty Guinness with the fella's when I notice a vette a few car lengths in front of me, it was the body style before the current and didn't look like anything special. Anyway, I was just minding my own business when the light ahead of us turns red. A lot of Vette owners don't start races and neither do I but my spider senses started tingling and I had a feeling he was going to make a run for it, he started edging forward to where his front end was in the middle of the intersection while I just chilled behind the white line. The light turns green and he just takes off fairly normally so I decide to stay at his speed and see if he tries to make a run for it, he does!! I hear him gun it so I follow suit, I can hear him chirp 2nd but it was already looking ugly for America's sports car. I just start to reel him in like a true angler, he had at least 3 car lengths from the start and by the time I was about 80% through 2nd I was already passing him like Rosie O'Donnell passes Bally's. All he could hear was the sounds of the mighty Eaton and straight pipes singing their mighty ballet as the black beast tucked him in. By the time I hit 3rd he was already just a fading memory so I let off. I slowed down to give him the thumbs up and find out more about his car but he wouldn't come close to me, he must of thought I was waiting for round 2, this time without a 3 car advantage. Anyway, it was a good victory for the L and all sport trucks in general. ------------------ Adam 01 Black Lightning Newest - Wet Okles seat covers, Roush lowering kit JDM Big mouth filter, JDM Flip chip, JDM Breather cap, JL Ram Air, JBA Headers, Striaght Pipes, Single Blade TB, Splitfires, Bed Rug, Steel Horse Billet grills, Keypad Mod, Dynomatted cab, Blaupunkt MD reciever w/CD changer, MTX Thunder Form, Clarion 5X7's up front, Infinity Kappa's in back, kick panels with JBL components, Relocated starter button, Billet pedals, red interior lights w/neon, purple neon and strobe lights for the shows, and more. |

| Guest | Nice kill, I got reeled in at the drags on test and tune by a C5 a few weeks ago, but interesting enough, I waxed his butt 60' time and pulled him through the 1/8 mile. The brick could not hold onto the lead, and he took me on the last 1/2. He ran a 13.1 to my 13.4. But at least he was looking at Ford truck tail lights for a while and I'm sure sh-tting his pants playing catch up. My kids were in the stands and the crowd was going crazy. Makes me feel warm and cozy all over. I figure a set of AFR's and the C5 will be real embarressed. | Guest | It takes ALOT of push to keep these bricks in front of a "sports car" on the big end of the track. Its much more fun in the stoplight grand prix. We launch, they loose, game over...
