twins on a 418 what do u think?

a friend in the area is building a 418 right now, afr 205 heads, wilson manifold. 160lb injectors, msd crank trigger all the good stuff...

he wants to use twin pt76 with the a/r .96 i was thinking the a/r is too big for twins an that he should go with a smaller a/r. whats the smallest u guys would go? he wants to make 1100

what would u do?

I know you can make well over 1100HP with 2 67mm turbo AKA TO4R or TO4Z or 62-1. And I make 1000RWHP with 2 TO4B there only 54mm.

2 T76 is whay over kill.

The MP T70's are rated for about 800hp each. IIRC, the PT76 was like 1100hp each.

I don't know I have a E4OD with a lockup converter in my race truck. Yes its big yes it takes a lot of HP to run it. But with the right controller it runs the same ET every time.

But hes not up for that C6 is the way to go.

roller turbo cam, c6 with 4500 stall, i think his cam maxs at 6000 or 6100, race gas all the way!

Well with a cam that dies at 6100. A 4500 stall is way to big. The converter will never flash. 3500 is as big as I would go on the converter.

And with race fuel only I would run 2 T04Z at 25LB and it should make 1400HP at the wheels. 2 to4z will make 1700HP with the right combo at 40lb.

I hope hes not going to run a box upper. With a cam the done at 6100 it will kill the low end TQ. A trick flow R is what I would run. I tried a box on mine and it killed the 60ft.and my ET. My engine the same way it over at 6200. But that why I have 370 gears in my truck. It made more HP with the box about 85 more HP but it lost 125TQ ever were. Box intakes are good. But only it the engine live at 7500 or more.

A set of GT35R's would do that combo all the justice in the world.
