I am stumped with my new trannie set up. I was at 710 RWHP @7000 RPM threw my 4R100. That lasted 1 weekend and nuked that trannie, I stuck in a lentech 4R70W and now im at 670RWHP same rpm and mph on the dyno. What gives????

why did you switch trannies???? and are you still using a lockup converter and locking it on the dyno just as you were with your 4r100???

if the 4r100 combo was a lockup then that is your problem.

Any reason you didn't go with a lockup converter? Less heat when cruising, more power applied at lock up. Not sure what the advantage of a non-lockup unit would be. I'm sacred to see your 4r100 ate it due to the 4V loving the higher revs. Mines is almost finished... It seems now I need to start preparing for a tranny swap.

Well I got the lentech 4r70w and the converter from a friend who was not using it. I can def. tell you that it rev's twice as fast and there is really not that much lag at all. It will spin my 555R's at 60mph, I just like to see the big HP#s on the dyno but the truck feels faster with the lentech

BTS told me I will not have any issues with his tranny spinning it close to 8K......PSI has another turbo truck with a BTS and spins that one close to 7K without any issues. Not cheerleading just saying what has worked for us.

Paul, any difference between my C6 and the 4R100 that would cause one to handle more/less rpm then the other?
