Turbo 32valve tuning issue

I am having a hard time tuning my truck over 5500 rpm with my diablo programmer and it makes power all the way up to 7k. Has anyone ever used other emu's? Is there any plug and play for the lightning's?

You could try an aftermarket Engine Management System but it would be a little money. I eliminated the MAF and had a Big Stuff 3 installed on mine. You will also need a tranny controller as I dont thin the BS3 will talk to the stock ECM. I know BS was in development of an entire set up that would do both engine and tranny control.

I have a manumatic lentech 4r70w in my truck now so 95% of my trannie harness is not in use. Do you like your Big Stuff 3?

I like it so far. The motor is still in the break in period. So we are taking easy for now. Last I remember JL was running a Big Stuff set up on his twin turbo truck.

Is it a pain to install and will it use the stock harness?

I did not install it. Patrick at PSI Motorsports in Texas did the install and tunning. It has its own harness. You will also need a few sensors but it tells you which ones you will need.

I love to use Electromotive.. The TEC3R is a badass standalone, with it's own DFI (coil packs). I swear the ignition system will fire a plug in a cup of oil.

I run a BS3 in my race car (02 GT).. It's pretty user friendly..

Have you tried tuning with SCT instead? There are a TON of Turbo Mod motors out there being tuned with it, and it's night and day cheaper than a standalone. I wouldn;t even think of doing a BS3 if I hadn't tried SCT yet.

Just my .02 cents.

SCT/Diablo/Sniper are all pretty much the same and all are MORE than capable of tuning your combo without switching to something else I'll pretty much guarantee you'll have more problems with.

I would try the normal SCT/Sniper self tuning solutions before going stand alone. There is alot of work and $$ in converting to another ECU, not to mention issues that can develop in wirning/sensor issues.

Are you sure its a tuning issue? What does the truck do that won't let it rev up?
