Non lightning build

Hey fellas. I'm enjoying the site and builds on here. I am building a F150 with a 5.4ltr. I will be using a single MP T70. Hp goals are 400-450. I have a question on air meter and injector size I'm not sure what to use? I'll be running a 255l in tank pump and probably an old school FMU for fuel management.

If you have any links to builds let me know, I'm still in the planning stages and would ask for any input.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

i would think 42lb injectors and 90mm maf would do but i could be wrong :-/

if u get the bigger maf and injectors why go fmu and not just get dynotuned?

You are correct. I think a lightning meter and 42s would work. I've been looking at the SCT tuners. I'm trying to figure out what size exhaust AR I should get on the turbo.

That all depends on how hard your going to swing[RPMs] the engine. If you are only going to swing it to 6000 I think a T4 p trim with a .96 or a 1.00AR would work good for that combo.

I am going to keep a self imposed 5000-5500rpm limit. The motor is still completely stock. Building a system that I can expand with.

The .96 AR on the masterpower seems popular and probably what I will run with my plain old F150 (2000 model)

I think I have seen your post on theturboforums.com concerning your build. If not you must take like a good month strait and read the whole forum, every thread.....haha That is the best site I have ever been own when it comes to knowledge and serious builds of all kinds.

I will probably be on the factory bottom end for a while with my truck as well. Like you, I will limit the revs hoping to make it live. Our trucks make great torque and I believe the lower revs will still work out OK. I bet if you meet your goal of 400-450 RWHP you will be making over 550+ ft lbs at a relatively low RPM which should make it fun to drive.

Where are you located? I figure a dyno tune would be as easy as the FMU really. I mean L mass air,42lb injectors and a single 255 in tank will support what you want, add the tune and you can even increase drivability.

YA thats me on TTF. I have scanned the whole TTF site as well as this one. I thought I was out of the car biz but I'm slipping back in.........I too am hoping to keep the stock motor together for a while at least. I'm steering away from the FMU idea and going with the big meter and injectors.
What does your build consist of? Any pics?
Thanks for the input.
P.S. I'm in Ontario Canada, near T.O.

My build.........well that's a sore subject. I have other things that are more important right now. I am trying to save every penny so my family and I can move back to our home town. My wife and I moved away to go to college and now we have 2 kids and are trying to move back closer to our parents.

So I am on lock down. We really want to save at least 10% to put down on a new house and it looks like we may not get what our current house is worth, so that means we need to save even more, $30K or so should be good. On what we make here in Mississippi that will be a task. We have been going strong for a little over a year now with good results.

But once I am back on the war path with the old fifty, I am planning a MP-70, FRPP shorty headers flipped, custom hot and cold side of course and maybe a Treadstone air to air. I really want to run a sumped cell in the bed and maybe an A1000 pump. But we will see.

Browsing hours and hours of threads on the net is the only thing that keeps me sane.
