700rwhp and MT et street radial = new tranny

well i finally put on some sticky tires and WOW....

about my 5th "off track" race of the night my truck goes for the 1-2 shift and hits rev. limiter as soon as it went into second... i let out and le ti cool down... tried again and it did the same thing so i let out and let it shift 2-3 and gave it gas and guess what 3rd. slips at WOT also.....

the truck drives 100% fine aslong as i stay under 10psi.....
so i will be trying to figure out what i am going to do about my transmission situation...

just for those that are woundering i was running a trams-am with a built motor, ported 5.3 heads, ls6 intake, BIG cam, full exhaust, and a "claimed 150 shot" probly a 200...lol

and i beat him everytime by atleast 4.... my truck pulls super strong
he was beating everyone (he was from texas) so i told him i would run him... and he tells me "just go when your ready" i laughted and tore out... i beat him by atleast 10 cars that time.... i guess he under estimated the ole' pick-up

I had mine built during my turbo install so I wouldn't run into that problem. I did run a stock tranny with my blower/nitrous combo that dynoed 588/735. It held up but the 1-2 clutch was toast when I had it rebuilt. Oh.....I used Dirtydog Performance since he is local to me.

I'm using Mike for my tranny rebuild. Here is his contact info if you are near middle Tennessee:

Custom Built Transmissions
specializing in Fords

Michael Whitefield

931-728-6256

whitefieldm@k12tn.net

I've not got mine back yet but he seems very knowledgeable and runs a very clean shop. I'll update once I get my truck back. I'm expecting around the middle to end of this month.

I love my trans and converter! I was running a 3600 stall with my old setup and it was great. had i lived at a lower elevation it would have been perfect for getting that turbo spooled at the track. but i sent my converter off and had i re stalled up to 4000 for my new setup. The trans is great too. it shifts nice and firm and runs great..

I have A E40D in my gen1 that I built that has a 1000HP and I have never had a problem with it.

The E40D and 4R100 and built with the same case there A lot alike.
