| I'm a Fool for Spool. Paid Member | A little Hotside love (pics) My guys is still plugging away at the piping for my turbo setup. Went out Friday to throw him some more money, and took a look. He's meticulous, and I love it. Still mocking it up, but here is where we stand so far Driver's Side (notice the ABS delete in the forefront. It made a TON of extra room for me) Passenger side. My Turbo will be mounted up high about 12" from the headlight. A shot looking straight up. He's a little worried about clearance between my balancer and the pipe, but I'm having the entire hot side ceramic coated, so hopefully I won't have any problems. Getting ever closer ![]() |

You might be able to make it work with different stuff but the Lightning stuff just wasn't made to work with the kind of back pressure a turbo builds on the hotside. It might work if you ran it off the down pipe some how, but that would be super ugly. Good Luck

View this user's gallery iTrader: 16 / 100% | See this is why I LOVE custom turbo applications and why I went the way I did... There are so many ways to make your truck stand out from the crowd! Your truck is coming along great. Keep up the good work... FYI.. All the parts for my headers including flanges, tubing, collectors and bungs was about 275... And it took me about 12 hours a piece to fab them. So if a shop was charging you about 75/hr to weld I don't think you could even come close to your 185 price range haha.. Good choice on the FRPP headers. |

Yours is a 2 valve right? That's the 3v header #. I've got M-9430-E462 as the 2v header in my notes. And where are you all finding these so cheap? I've searched off and on for over a year and the best I could ever find is in $320 - $350 range for these. Edit: Well fawk, I can't tell if that's a 2v or not. Those sure look like the 2v FRP headers... Anyways, googling that part # looks like it's the 3v header... --Dan Last edited by houlster; 06-30-2008 at 08:44 PM.

weird that you mention that you cannot find them for cheaper than 350.. well i bought them for 185 back about a year ago, but since then gas has gone up over $2 and the price of steel(stainless too) has increased over 150%.. so i can see why they are now 350. I bought the 4.6L FRPP headers from summit for 185.. now the exact same pair is 349.95.. crazy.. I bought all the tubing, flanges, bungs and argon to weld my own set of headers for my TT setup for cheaper than that...
