specs

kool set up that u got, love it.....

i was wondering if you could help me out... i am in the process of geting my 408stroker turbocharged its almosT the same setup as yours but my turbo is going to be sitting on the otherside of the motor i got my kit on ebay. ill be useing a t4 60-1 turbo 35 max psi 550-600hp. it would be alot of help if u could point me to the right direction in what kind of injectors,maf sensor fuel preassure i should be running and about the computer i dont know where to pre-tune it.....

here are some of the main specs on my 408stroker...

As for injectors I am gonna run the Precision 65lb high impedance. No MAF. Since I am running the AEM computer I am gonna install a map sensor. However we are modifying my factory harness to work with the AEM and I am not running a distributor. I got the LS1 MSD individual coils and the computer will control those also. Also 408stroker you may want to reconsider on that turbo size. It sounds a bit small for your engine size. You can go with something like what I got (Borg Wargner s372).

Turbo,injectors,maf.........


YEA I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING IT MIGHT BE TOO SMALL FOR MY 408 BUT I WANT TO BE ON THE 600HP RANGE FIRST THE 408 DOSENT EVEN HAVE 100 MILES ON IT I WOULD HATE TO MESS IT UP... IF I GET IT RUNNING WITH THIS TURBO THIS YEAR AND EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FINE I MIGHT RUN A BIGGER TURBO NEXT YEAR LIKE THE ONE YOU MENTIONED...


I HAVE POSTED SOME MORE PICS OF WHAT I AM PLANNING TO RUN OF INJECTORS MAF SENSOR AND TURBO,,, AS FOR MY COMPUTER I KNOW I CAN RUNN MY STOCK ONE BUT GOT NO CLUE WERE OR HOW TO TUNE IT. (RUNNING AN AODTRANS) I WAS WONDERING IF A COMP OF A 93-95 LIGHTNING WOULD WORK DONT KNOW WHAT THEIR REV-LIMITER IS OR IF IT WILL RUN THE 42LB INJECTORS & MAF,


IF ANYBODY ELSE KNOWS WHAT DO DO OR HAS DONE THIS BEFORE PLZ REPLY.. ANY LINKS OR PICS WERE I COULD GET A COMPUTER WOULD REALLY HELP!!!!!

That small of a turbo is gonna create some pretty insane backpressures on a 408. You might want to consider not putting that turbo on if you are concerned about your motor.

BUMMMER!!! I MIGHT SELL THAT TURBO TO A FRIEND OF MINE..........


THANX FOR THE POINTERS I MIGHT GO WITH A BIGGER TURBO, BUT WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND IS THAT THAT TORBO THE 60-1 IS RATED 550-600 AND MAX OF 35 PSI I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THAT WAS PERFECT FOR MY 408 STROKER. BUT THE TURBO IS THE LEAST OF MY PROBLEM I WANT TO GET THE COMPUTER FIRST.

ANYBODY KNOW WHO CAN TUNE THE STOCK COMPUTER??????????

Yeah.. you need to plot some compressor map points =P On a 408 depending on heads/cams etc.. you would probably see 600 hp off of like 10 psi =D ...

ITS ALL MAKEING SENCE NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL I WAS THINKING IF I AM ALLREDY TO AROUND 450-500HP IT DONT TAKE BUT ABOUT LESS THAN 10 PSI TO JUMP THE 600 PEAK!!! UH???


CAN YOU GUYS RECOMEND SOME "BIGGER" TURBOS. A COUPLE OF YOU GUYS ALLREDY HAVE I HEARD OF THE T-70, Borg Wargner s372 .BUT I DONT WHAT TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN I WANT TO HAVE AT LEAST 4-5 OPTIONS...

Honestly, that much motor your only real choice is some type of T76 or that big BW.

PT-88 is about the only T-4 flanged turbo that I would use with a 408. Even then there is still a chance of popping head gaskets because of backpressure. Really a 408 needs a T-6 flanged turbo.
